Christos Almpanis (Template:Lang-gr; born 5 November 1994 in Kalabaka, Trikala, Greece) is a professional Greek footballer currently playing for Apollon Smyrni in the Football League, as a forward.

Football Career

Almpanis started his career at AO Meteora, the team of his native town. At the age of 16 he moved to Germany, joining Werder Bremen U17. After several years playing for Werder Bremen U19, Eintracht Frankfurt II, SC Freiburg II on 31 August 2015 Apollon Smyrni announced the signing of Almpanis on a two-year deal. During the first season he didn't get much first team action. In the 2016–17 season he was one of the most important players, as his team won the league title and gained promotion to the Superleague. He scored 9 goals and provided his teammates with 6 assists. His impressive performances attracted the interest of Superleague side, Panionios, but Apollon Smyrni's administration moved quickly and extended his contract for 2 additional years. [1]
