RUSAL is Russia's biggest aluminium producer with a 75% share in the domestic aluminium market. Worldwide RUSAL produces 10% of all the aluminium. RUSAL mainstream products are primary aluminium and alloys.

RUSAL operates four aluminium smelters: in Bratsk, Krasnoyarsk, Novokuznetsk and Sayanogorsk.

Roman Abramovich was a major shareholder in RUSAL until he sold his shares in 2005 for over £7 billion.
