Bus Contracting Model
Under the new bus contracting model, all the bus routes were split into 4 bus packages- 13 under Bedok, 825 under Sembawang-Yishun, 72 under Tampines with the rest under Seletar Bus Packages.
On 7 June 2016, the Land Transport Authority called for tenders to operate 26 routes out of the Seletar Bus Package as part of its new bus contracting model. Nine services are under this package while 13 and 72 will be bundled into Bedok and Tampines bus packages, whereas 825 will all come under Sembawang-Yishun bus package. The bus services will be operated by the successful tenderer for a service term of five years, with a possible two-year extension based on good performance. It will also operate and maintain this and Yio Chu Kang Bus Interchange.[2]
