Trolling
Hey, I removed some crazy ranting/whining from an IP that seemed a lot like trolling. If it was actually legitimate, please accept my apologies, and feel free to revert me. --Mr. Lefty Talk to me! 19:06, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
Advertising?
Who posted an advertisement??????
Question
How do I post about Roleplayers Ring. It's a roleplayers community centered around bringing roleplayers together and acting as the center for roleplayers in general. Also I noticed if you search up Orcs it has links at the bottom linking to www.orcs.ca How do I submit links like that???
So
So how do I submit links under the Orc description??
Also just Corner Stone Casting is considered an Ad right?
Okay thank you
So the Roleplaying, Blood Clan, and Corner Stone ones will fail short. Gotcha, I hope nothing related to Blake Van Leer will because those were actually articles on several different websites, news papers and magazines I transfered over for a friend.
I did my research
Thanks again I read the guidelines and will make sure not to post anything that can even appear to be spam.
Thanks
Thank you for helping me do this correctly. I changed the Blood Clan and I will not be adding the Corner Stone again. If you search Shadowclan thats an article I compared with mine with. They are an online community who started after Bloodclan.

Thanks for kicking in your two cents on my prod. Out of curiosity, which speedy criteria did you use on it beforehand? I couldn't find one which quite fits the bill. BigHaz Schreit mich an 09:17, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

Hey.Zoe. My name is Bob Santanos. I just wanted to apoligize if the guy who was attacking me got on your nerves. I don;t know what happened. To quote him "headaaaaggghhhhh!!!!!"Bob santanos

The user Jestix is harassing me, can you please tell him to stop. I'm new here and I'm just figuring out how to use this website. He's constantly sending me pm's following me around. He even comments on items you already pointed out several times.
I have learned a lot and I'm still trying to become user friendly with this website.
Best Regards, Blake
This user Blake911 has been uncivil and he takes the nomination of his non notable Wikipedia page personally. He's not as helpless as he lets on and I'm currently trying to ascertain if he's employing sock puppets or meat puppets on the Bloodclan AfD Wikipedia page. Best regards, Shazbot85Talk 07:21, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
How
How do I do that?
Shazbot85
Has been known to harass me, members of my online community and of several other communties. He has an agenda to benefit himself and his Shadowclan guild. Please do not allow him to harass people on wikipedia or myself.
Thank you,
Blake Van Leer
In what ways have I harassed you? Was it the consistantly polite warnings I gave you when you personally attacked me and vandalized Wikipedia pages? If that's considered harassment I forsee problems for you, because it will never fly for you to act in an immature manner of your choosing, doing damage to pages and attacking editors you disagree with over trivial matters such as your guild's non notable wikipedia page. I would like to add, I have never met anyone from his "online community". The only person I've come int contact that's acted in such a manner is this very user. Nor do I have any idea what "other communities" he speaks of. The vaugeness with which he accuses me gives him away. He conducts himself in the manner of a 5 year old, lying to the teacher to get his fellow classmate in trouble for something he did. This user lashes out at people he disagrees with, and screams harassment when they correct him. I would like to see if an administrator can straighten him out, because obviously the repeated warnings from Jestix and myself aren't working, and this slander isn't my cup of tea and is a waste of your time, as well as mine. Why you Deleted Eastern Virtual Airlines?
Because I never had seen that other Virtual Airline Article has been deleted.

I'm sorry. I didn't realize my vandalizm page had been turned to a PA against Cyde. It used to just be funny. I even had rules! Seems they didn't do much. I've been gone for a while, so I haven't seen it lately. Forgive me; 69.145.123.171 Hello! Wednesday, September 6, 2006, 02:33 (UTC)

Roberta Trias-Kelley
Could you please tell me why this was deleted? I made it noteworthy like asked to...it doesn't violate any copyrights. This person is a major woman martial artist who is definately worthy of publication. Please advise.
I had gone through Alabamaboy and he recommended that I rewrite the article, which was done. Could you explain why it isn't ok and why it is now protected. I certainly read a lot of stuff on Wikipedia that are much more worthy of deletion. If you don't find this a good bio could you tell me what to do to make it so?
About your AN/I comments
Listen, I've typically considered you reasonable, even though I rarely agree with you. But if you honestly think I'm only here to disrupt, and can honestly say that after looking at all my contributions instead of the 5 or 6 AfD discussions I take part in on a given day, why do you continue to take the swipes at me in areas here and there? What do I need to do to demonstrate otherwise to you? If you're beyond convincing, why haven't you escalated it further, I can give you three names right off the top of my head who would be glad to certify an RfC for you or more if you really felt the need. So what's the deal? What can I do? --badlydrawnjeff talk 20:13, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

Roberta Trias-Kelley
Zoe, this is what I posted on the deletion review. It would be helpful if I could get some specifics about why she didn't appear to be notable to you. I asked you for some help and your entire response was, that I had still not established notability. Please give me some feedback so that I can fix this. Thank-you, Lesshadow
I would like to have an article that I wrote undeleted. The article is about Roberta Trias-Kelley, who is a major pioneer in Martial Arts for women. Specifically Shuri-Ryu Karate. She has been featured in Black Belt Magazine. She was the first woman to receive a Blackbelt in Shuri-ryu, as well as, one of the first American women to receive a black belt. She inherited the system from her father, pioneer Robert Trias (who many call the father of American Karate). She did NOT inherit a dojo! She inherited a system! She was head of the United States Karate Association, Inc. for 10 years, the largest martial arts organization of that time (1989-1999). She is one of a handful of Menkyo Kaidens in the world of martial arts and has known and trained with many of the greats. She did exhibitions in martial arts in the 1960s with Bruce Lee. She is the Grandmaster of Shuri-ryu. She competed at a time when there were no divisions for women and won! She is one of the few women who has ever become a 10th degree blackbelt. That is as high as it goes. She is known for her ranking in Okinawan Kobudo and as well and coauthored a book on the subject with her father. She is a role model in the area of martial arts and continues to enjoy teaching. She doesn't charge for teaching, so this isn't any sort of advertisement. She travels, teaches and mentors Karateka all over the world. In Wikipedia, you have a lot of the people that are listed as Chief Instructors-which she is also, and they are still on...because it is a historical item. I would like her put back on, especially since she is the head of the system and one with a good amount of notoriety. Thank-you, Lesshadow
Elie Weisel in picture of prisoners at Buchenwald
Hi, does anyone know which prisoner Elie Weisel is in the picture of the Jewish prisoners at Buchenwald? It says that he is the seventh one from the left on the second row. Is this the second row from the top or the bottom?
The reason I am asking is because this picture will be published. I need to confirm that Elie Weisel is indeed the man whose face can be seen in the second row from the bottom just barely peeking out 2 faces down from the man with the white cap.
Thanks! My email is richard.denoncourt@gmail.com
I would greatly appreciate the help, as would my publishing company.

that was most definatly NOT nonsense. Many people should know about Jerry Perajean. Obiously you do not.
Your help/deletion review.
Doesn't seem like you are interested in helping do anything to make wikipedia better, just that you like to exercise muscle. It is hard for you to determine notability in an area that you are totally unfamiliar with and will not try to learn more about. Am I frustrated, yes. I have asked you to help me by giving me examples to establish notability that would suit you but you obviously have no interest in doing anything that might be helpful.
i would appreciate it if you would undelete my meatloaf article. Just because you dont know something doesnt make it nonsense. Mabe you should be more objective in the future

All the trolling I did on your page and probably around a dozen other pages. I know it may have caused you a lot of trouble. I'm an actual Wikipedian now, though, and I really like Wikipedia.
Deletion Review
Unfortunately I find it strange that my article was deleted within a minute of being posted before I could properly add a reason for the article on the Talk page. There are far more articles on Wiki with less information and my post on Endor would seem relevant considering they were a signed band with a national release and whom also had a relationship to the band Finch.
Aparently your administrative decisions have come into question before and I hope more thoughtfully review any decisions in the future.
X3i
What would I need to do in order to keep the X3i page up on here? I don't know what more proof you all would need. Let me know if I need more references or anything else. I'm not understanding the criteria on this site. I would just be let down to see the page get deleted after all the work that has been put into it thus far.
Thanks :)
X3i Series
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars:_Revelations
This is a link to a wikipedia page for an internet fan film which did not have a national theater release. Though, I do not doubt it's notability, it does cast a shadow over the arguement made regarding X3i's non-theater release and significance. At the bottom of the linked page is a list of other such internet fan films, mostly regarding Star Wars (unofficially) that also fail to meet the release criteria.
Because I feel this debate is becoming circular, and I feel as though no matter what evidence or arguements I present I will be countered with continued, perhaps repetitive rebuttal, I am beginning to question the overall objectivity of this evaluation. I would like to state that X3i as a series or movie, nor its creators, are seeking this inclusion into the Wikipedia database as a means for promotion or even validation. Our own accomplishments with the network, internet viewings, and forums are satisfying enough for both of those departments.
I am being told now, as before, that X3i is failing to meet this or that certain criteria, but I feel I have provided sufficient evidence or argument to the contrary on all accounts. Aside from that, many of these supposed requirements being presented are not requirements even being met by other wikipedia entries.
X3i Series
See, that is the sort of argument I was talking about--circular. You failed to present a case against the majority of my statements. One film being THE exception is not a valid or objective point. Who or what exactly determines what is or is not an exception? It is also untrue. I directed you to the bottom of the page where there are links to other such fan films. I guess I will have to lay them out for you.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broken_Allegiance http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crazy_Watto http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darth_Vader%27s_Psychic_Hotline http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/How_the_Sith_Stole_Christmas http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IMPS_The_Relentless http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Jedi_Hunter
and so on...
ALSO, please note that X3i DOES have a notable network showing on Buck-i TV and is the ONLY student series shown on OSTN.
Links provided: https://ceai1.campuseai.org/portal/page?_pageid=233,8571180&_dad=portal&_schema=PORTAL http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_Student_Television_Network http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buckeye_tv
SO, the series is more than a mere burb on some insignificant local college station, it aires on televisions across multiple college universities. As a courtesy of debate, I would appreciate if you would take the time and consideration to provide clear and concise reasoning for your arguements, as well as meet each point or topic within my rebuttals. I do not think that is too much to ask.
I never made any judgements about the quality of the other productions. The greatest concern you have brought up is a clear lack of professionalism, tact, and objectivity. I doubt Wikipedia or any other professional institution would accept your words as being representative of their own. You have failed to address several concerns and FACTS being brought up about the topic, and I do not wish to continue this "debate" with you. I would like to speak to another moderator, who, hopefully, will display the positive qualities you seem to lack.
I think those five people would have the sense to look at the same evidence and arguments that have been presented to you with objective clarity and worthwhile commentary.
X3i
I never set up a forum to spam the scifi channel. We like some of the programs the scifi channel puts out. We place our stuff on forums for criticism and feedback. We're placing it on here for people who are interested in the history of the whole project. How did we fail to prove the notability of this project?
1.) Ohio States first SciFi Action Drama on Buckeye TV. 2.) The only show from Ohio State that airs on OSTN. 3.) Ohio States first feature length scifi drama film.
What else is there to prove? I believe in the time that its taking you to respond, you are not reading all of the facts that we have presented before you. It sounds to me that you have already made up your mind on the subject and no matter what evidence of notability we give, you will choose to not listen. X3i is fact, it is there, you can view it. To me it sounds like you all are basing this on how many people have seen and/or heard about it. This is an online encyc, not a popularity contest.
AFD
I have found your manner in AFD discussions to be needlessly rude and provocative, especially the discussions of Lebowski Fest and New Numa. I have not said a single thing to justify your harsh and abrasive responses. I think, as an administrator, you should show more maturity and tact than you have. Allon FambrizziAllon Fambrizzi

IrishGuy revisions
So, the 3 Revert Rule doesn't apply to both parties? Just curious, seeing as IrishGuy is the one that originally, spitefully, deleted a verfiable bullet from an article, by ANOTHER user, out of a personal grudge? I've done nothing but restore it. Karel's Outsider
Why was it deleted?
Why was article deleted?
Why did you delete the article on Joules Scott-Key, drummer for Metric?
Thanks.
Joules Scott-Key
You referred me to the notability page, which has as a criteria of notability "Has had a record certified gold or higher in at least one large or medium-sized country." Metric has one album that went Gold in canada, and another, Live it Out, has gone double platinum in Canada. Scott-Key is the drummer for this band, and widely recognized as one of the most significant drummers on the Indie rock scene. So why delete?
Pudbrowncapie
Hi. You just did a speedy deletion of the a short wikipedia article that I submitted about a new dessert called "pudbrowncapie". Yes this is dessert is funny. However, it is just as funny, as I see it, as turducken or any of the variations discussed on the turducken page. In fact, this dessert was created especially for eating with turducken. I don't know much about using wikipedia, so I will try to re-create the page now. I am not trying to add nonsense to the collection. JakeWB
Reference for Metric's albums going Gold in Canada are here: http://www.cria.ca/gold/0206_g.php and here: http://www.cria.ca/gold/0306_g.php. That Metric opened for the Rolling Stones in Madison Square Garden is here: http://www.iorr.org/tour05/tour06a.htm. When you undelete, I can add references.
Jules Scott-Key revisited
Per your request references, here they are for Metric's significance. Scott-Key is their drummer. Merge request
I see you added a merge request to Dave "The King" Wilson. It is important the the person requesting the merge goes to the discuss link to start the conversation about why he/she feels it should be merged. Quoting from Wikipedia:Merging and moving pages:
- After proposing the merge, place your reasons on the talk page and check back in a couple of weeks for a response. You may be able to invoke a response by contacting some of the major or most-recent contributors via their respective talk-pages. If there is a clear agreement after two weeks, that the articles should be merged then go ahead and merge them. If there is no response after four weeks then go ahead and merge the articles.
Another editor had removed you merge request, which I reverted. However, considering that you did not go to the talk page to say why you want it merged, I am not sure that what this editor did was wrong. If you don't state your case soon, I will also remove your request from the article. Thanks. --rogerd 01:29, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
bettymaker
Please explain to us why informing people about who we are and what we do is considered "advertising".
We are not selling anything.
Our website does not sell anything.
We've never sold anything.
We exchange photos, ideas and talent. Not money, checks, or credit cards. We give people donated cameras, lights, clothing, etc to get them involved in photography or modeling. WE DON'T MAKE A PROFIT!
I've searched numerous wikipedia pages that, by your definition, would be considered advertising.
For example, please visit "Betty X". She is simply informing people of who she is and what she does. That's all we did and you booted us.
This is our first attempt at this, so if you can edit our content or make a suggestion so it tells about us and how we give back to the community as a non-profit group then we would appreciate your insight. Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Here is the original idea:
"BettyMaker is one of the finest and most prestigous producers of home grown female photography in the Los Angeles and Seattle areas. It began in 1999 as the brain child of Suze Delbourne and Erika Sten as a way for female photographers and models to share photographs. By mid 2001 it had grown to promote localized image galleries, work shops and fashion shows. Since then all proceeds have been donated to charitable causes such as Fred Hutchinson Breast Cancer Research Center in Seattle, Interact Worldwide (AIDS awareness), and a variety of woman's shelters."
We do a lot for the areas we live in, so it feels a bit like a slap in the face to get knocked off wikipedia when we are trying to promote PHOTOGRAPHY and MODELING, not advertise.
Thanks a bunch,
Erika
- Erika,
- The key word in your description of what you're doing is "promote." Regardless of how noble your purpose here, Wikipedia is here to inform, not to promote. As such, we at least try to maintain standards: only things that are encyclopedic are included.
- Ask yourself this: would you pick up a copy of the Britannica and expect to see BettyMaker in it? No. That's one perspective on why it might be inappropriate here at this point. As my good friend User_talk:Phil Sandifer has pointed out, Wikipedia isn't the Britannica. But it is an encyclopedia. I do hope you continue to edit the encyclopedia, and don't take this personally.
- Hope this helps,
- Nandesuka 04:43, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
About RedBrick Studios
The reason I added the article is because I live in Carlow (yes its real) and the place is of interest to loads of people. I don't have all the details though, maybe you could get someone to expand it - but i didnt make it up. Carlow is a real town, Ireland is a real country and there is a recording studio here called RedBrick. I just added what information I have about it. I can't help any further.
Hi Zoe. Argh, it completely slipped my mind. Man, the wheels in Zoeland do grind exceedingly fine. Er, I was gonna post at the Fair Use project, but I just plain forgt. However, I would note that:
- It would not be reasonably possible to replace the image with an image of the same value, that is, one showing the person in the context of the work for which he is notable, i.e on screen with the station logo. (It would be theoretically possible to get a free photo of the person and photoshop in the logos, but...)
- Inasmuch as the article has any value (debatable), the photos are integral part of that, I would say. After all, we are talking about local TV news anchors, in other words, pretty boys (and girls) and talking heads. Looks is practically as much of their value (and therefore their notability) as it is for a model.
- No other danger factors, such as replacing a marketable image etc. are in play.
HowEVER, the pics aren't used for "critical commentary". How could they be -- what the hell can you say about the weekday noontime anchor for East Jesus On-The-Spot news or whatever. So meh. My two cents is that they're legitimate fair use per the numbered points above, but if you are anyone wants to cut them, I'm OK with that too. Herostratus 03:34, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
- No, far from minding, I greatly appreciate your diligence. I dropped the ball on this one and appreciaste you picking it up. Herostratus 20:41, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
Roy Leep - you've been Spotteddogsdotorg'ed
FYI, please watch out for the Spotteddogsdotorg (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) sockmaster vandal. He duped you into deleting Roy Leep by crushing the article to nothing and then slapping a {{db}} tag on it. It's about the third article I've saved from that ruse so he's clearly quite active. Be on the lookout at CAT:CSD! :) —Wknight94 (talk) 14:35, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
- I'm confused. I see nothing in the article's history which indicates it was deleted, and I see nothing in the user you mention's history which shows that he edited the article. User:Zoe|(talk) 20:14, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
- No, that user was banned more than a year ago but his sockpuppets are very easy to spot - they attack reporter articles. Actually, the logs and history seem to have gotten a little messed up since I restored. There's edit #1 with a db-attack tag followed by edit #2 which made the page look like a dab page with two redlinks, one of which is a porn star. Then the deletion log shows that you deleted the page as an attack page. I'm not sure why that happened when edit #1 was the db-attack vandalism, not edit #2. Anyway, as you can see there, FCFI (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) and 69.93.121.162 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · filter log · WHOIS · RDNS · RBLs · http · block user · block log) have both caused the article to be deleted as CSD A6. Then another banned user, Borox (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) created a redirect there. After he was banned, I was reverting a related move (by Borox) and found that Roy Leep had been deleted and recreated so I restored the entire history and then rv back to the original pre-vandalism article. So yes, I'm a little confused now myself... but the general consensus is that messing with reporter articles is a sure sign of Spotteddogsdotorg (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log). —Wknight94 (talk) 21:04, 19 September 2006 (UTC)

Are you disputing this? --NuclearUmpf 17:01, 28 September 2006 (UTC)Within Wikipedia, a ban is a formal revocation of editing privileges on the main articles. A banned user is still able to edit any page; however, the user is discouraged from doing so. A ban is sometimes confused with a block, but the terms have distinct meanings. - You called him banned, I didn't. Thats the rule on banned users. --NuclearUmpf 17:07, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
- He has been blocked from editing because he refuses to follow policy. That includes the ability to edit any page. Don't be his defender, don't restore his comments, or you'll find yourself in the same circumstances (not a warning, by the way, just advice). Note that this is not my fight -- as far as I know, I have never had any dealings with him. User:Zoe|(talk) 17:11, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
- I have not either and neither is it mine, but Jayjg continuing to post after removing their comments is bating, which eithe ryou or him specifically said you are not suppose to do to banned users. Its having a one sided conversation, posting "I am not going to talk to you" is like childish behavior (note: comparisons are not violations of WP:NPA). --NuclearUmpf 19:51, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

I've violated 3RR?
Reverts of banned editors don't count towards 3RR, and in any event I've only removed the edits 3 times, not 4. Can you explain how I could possibly have violated 3RR? Jayjg (talk) 17:13, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
- I believe it says you are not suppose to revert 3 times simply because the limit is 3x. --NuclearUmpf 19:49, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

Can you please tell me what other pages have I been warned? Please do this favor too. -- October 12th
So you deleted my entry on Wicked Small Games within 1 minute of it being created because I'm the only contributor?

I have noticed when you closed the above AfD, you did not remove the category template, "REMOVE THIS TEMPLATE WHEN CLOSING THIS AfD". By deleting this when closing it pulls the discussion out of the category. I have deleted it from this discussion, but if you could review any other closures you have done recently and remove the tag from them it would be greatly appreicated. This is a fairly recent change. The guideline is at WP:AFDC. I have been going through the listing in each of the categories CAT:AFD and removing the tag from pages that are closed and adding the approriate category code for those in the uncatagorised group. Thanks.--Gay Cdn (talk) (email) (Contr.) 15:03, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
- I see from the history that you did not close it, the reasoning indicates that you did - poor refactoring to blame.--Gay Cdn (talk) (email) (Contr.) 20:13, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
