Kirtypal Singh (Kirtypal Singh; born 1991, Hoshiarpur, Punjab, India) is a student activist. He is a recipient of the 2016 University Honor Roll from Lovely Professional University [1]


Biography

Education

Kirtypal Singh graduated with a Bachelor's degree in science from Panjab University before earning his Master of Science degree in Biotechnology at the Lovely Professional University in Punjab. Later he graduated with Master of Philosophy in Biotechnology from Lovely Professional University. [1]

He is a social activist and is actively volunteering in higher education reforms, farmer rights and various corruption issues.[1]

Research

During his Master of Science research work he has predicted the zoonotic disease that can infect human beings in future. He studied various non-human mammalian diseases. The genomic and proteomic analysis of African swine fever viral strains was carried out. It was observed that the African swine fever virus attachment protein p12 possess characteristics similar to epitopic region of Plasmodium falciparum antigen. Therefore in this study he predicted an approach to evade African swine fever infection in Homo sapiens.[2]
