We All Need a Reason to Believe is the second studio album by American pop punk band Valencia. It was produced by Ariel Rechtshaid, who has done projects for We Are Scientists and Plain White T's.[1] An early review from AbsolutePunk writer Drew Beringer stated the release proved Valencia is "a band that can breathe new life into pop-punk".[1]
The album title comes from lyrics in the second track, "Holiday".
Release
In early April 2008, the band appeared at the Bamboozle Left festival.[3] On April 8, the band posted a rough mix of "Holiday" online. It was mentioned that the track would feature on the band's next album, which was planned for release in late summer/early fall.[4] In July, the band supported All Time Low on their headlining US tour.[5] It was released in the United States on 26 August 2008.[6] The album was the band's first on label Columbia Records, after their first album was released on I Surrender. In February and March 2009, the band toured Australia as part of the Soundwave festival.[7]
