Francis Kasonde (born September 1, 1986), is a Zambian football defender. He is currently playing for Sabah FA in Malaysia Premier League.

Career

Kasonde has played for Power Dynamos FC in Kitwe, Zambia and Omani side Al-Suwaiq Club.[1] In June 2017, Kasonde signed for Malaysia Premier League side Sabah FA.On 30 June 2017, He made his debut in a 1–0 victory over PDRM FA

Attributes

The versatile defender who is comfortable across the back four, can also operate as a holding midfielder.

Kasonde is also a regular member of the Zambian national team . He was the key of the Zambian team that won the African Cup of Nations 2012. He earned his international debut in 2005 and scored his first goal against Egypt in a 1-1 draw.
