The Edge-class is a class of four upcoming cruise ships by Celebrity Cruises.

History

In December 2014 Celebrity Cruises ordered two ships at STX France optiona. In June 2015 Celebrity Cruises ordered the first two ships.[1]

On 21 November 201 the construction of the first ship started and the names Celebrity Edge and Celebrity Beyond were published.[2] The keel of the Celebrity Edge was laid on 21 June 2017.[3] In June 2016 two more ships were ordered, together with a fifth ship of Oasis class.[4]


One ship costs about 900 Million $.[5]
