Tepexpan is a town in the State of Mexico in the municipal entity of Acolman. The population is around 25,000. One of the most interesting aspects of this town is the discovery of an early Mesoamerican skeleton commonly referred to as "Tepexpan man". Recent research shows that the skeleton was not that of a man but that of a woman. The woman was apparently trampled by raging mastodon around 11,000 B.C.E.
