CZ-99 is a pistol made by Zastava Arms Co from Kragujevac, Serbia and Montenegro.

Serbian police uses CZ-99 as a service pistol, and it is also being exported. The copies of the CZ-99 were manufactured in South Africa and Israel. There is also compact version: CZ-99G Compact.

Name

Zastava means flag in Serbian, and former name of the factory is Crvena Zastava (Red Flag), so the name is abbreviation of this former name.
