Ivan Dodig and Marcelo Melo were the defending champions, but chose not to participate together. Dodig plays alongside Rohan Bopanna, while Melo teams up with Łukasz Kubot.

Melo and Henri Kontinen are in contention for the ATP no. 1 doubles ranking at the beginning of the tournament. Kontinen will regain the top ranking from Melo if he and John Peers either win the title, or win two more matches than Melo and Kubot in the tournament.
