Jacob "Jake" LaTurner (born February 17, 1988) is an American politician who is currently the 40th Treasurer of Kansas and was previously member of the Kansas Senate, representing the 13th District from 2013 until 2017. During his tenure in the State's Legislature he vowed for transparency reform and has promoted efforts to expand the Kansas Open Record Act (KORA) and the Kansas Open Meetings Act (KOMA).[1][2]

LaTurner has been appointed as Kansas State Treasurer, effective upon the April 25, 2017 resignation of Ron Estes, who won a special election in Kansas's 4th congressional district.[3] Upon his appointment, LaTurner was the youngest statewide official in the United States.[4]
