I'm new to this so sorry if I'm not placing this in the right place. Every major news outlet in the nation and much of the world is broadcasting this young woman's name and story. I respectfully disagree that she was simply "in the wrong place and the wrong time". She was an active volunteer and counter-protester of name recognition. She died a martyr to the cause of peace, love, and tolerance in the face of bitter hatred. Her face has been on EVERY single news show and likely her name will become a rallying cry to those who want social justice. Lawrence O'Donnell did an entire SHOW about her, in which her mother made numerous appearances and her picture was shown numerous times.

The rally gets it's own page because it will be considered a WATERSHED event in American history. She DESERVES a page so that anyone who wants to understand why she was there, what she was doing, and how she died an American HERO can read it for themselves. If anyone would like to add to or improve what I wrote, I would greatly appreciate that. This is my first article and I'm sure those of you more nuanced in this media can help greatly.

Respect,

Put simply, you should not be starting an article on an issue in which you are so emotionally involved. The article will disappear shortly as it is a clear case of WP:VICTIM. You have just wasted a lot of time for a lot of other editors. She's not a hero or a martyr; you debase those terms by applying them to her. She was just a well-intentioned counter-protestor against whom fate took an unexpected turn. Next time, please acquaint yourself with relevant Wikipedia policies rather than starting an article against guidelines. Thanks, WWGB (talk) 05:37, 15 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your comment, however I'm emotionally detached even if my amateurish effort seems so to you. I do not know the woman and I am not in any way related to her or her family in way conceivable. I'm just a new guy to editing Wikipedia who's been viewing and contributing $$ to Wikipedia for quite some time. I was motivated to put her article in when I saw there was none. This woman's life, whether you agree with it or not, has consequence beyond that of simply being a "victim". Her death will become a focal point for any future discussions on the matters of Alt-Right, White Supremacy, neo-Confederate, neo-Nazism, Aryan supremacy, and Militias for ever more. I'm sure Fields didn't set out to make a martyr whose name will be invoked when discussing their ideology of hate. But that is in fact what happened. Her name will be synonymous with the rally and with their movements from now on. That makes her a notable person of interest.
