    Requests for undeletion is a process intended to assist users in restoring pages or files that were uncontroversially deleted via proposed deletion, under certain speedy deletion criteria (such as maintenance deletions or rejected Articles for creation drafts), or in deletion debates with little or no participation other than the nominator. This page is also intended to serve as a central location to request that deleted content be userfied, restored as a draft or emailed to you so the content can be improved upon prior to re-insertion into the mainspace, or used elsewhere (you may also make a request directly to one of the administrators listed here). This means that content deleted after discussion—at articles for deletion, categories for discussion, or miscellany for deletion among other deletion processes—may in some cases be provided to you, but such controversial page deletions will not be overturned through this process. Copyright violations and attack pages will not be provided at all.

    This page is only for requesting undeletion of articles or files which have already been deleted. If the article you are concerned about is still visible, but has a warning message (template) at the top, please do not post here, but follow the instructions in the template or on your talk page. Please do not request that articles deleted under speedy deletion criteria A7 or G11 be undeleted here.

    Note that requests for undeletion are not a replacement for deletion review. If you feel an administrator has erred in closing a deletion discussion or in applying a speedy deletion criterion, please contact them directly. If you discuss but are unable to resolve the issue on their talk page, it should be raised at Wikipedia:Deletion review, rather than here.

    Liu Xiaoyu (basketball)

    The article was created on 08/08/2017 by a user, another user immediately placed a proposal for it to be deleted due to having no reference. I saw this article on that day, but was too busy (lazy) to edit it. Then the article was deleted 7 days after its creation. However, this guy definitely does exist, I can provide several references from the web:

    I edited the draft two weeks ago, making changes based on a review that came back asking for better source citation. I submitted the revision for revision in the hopes that the page would be accepted and published. I still haven't heard back about the review.     The page was done stating facts backed by sourses such as Forbes, Huffington Post, UK Blasting Media, Philadelphia Style Magazine, Vanity Fair, Metro and many more. I am open to review it if you show me what is considered "promotional", but again, everything is a fact backed by legit links. I can give you more sources if you need them. Please let me know as I would kindly ask you to re consider and to make the changes you believe appropriate so that it can be re published. Being an "Influencer" is a legit job related to social media, it is not promotional, and all that is in the page was named by sources.     The stub was tagged for speedy deletion under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. I followed a red link from another article and came to a message suggesting that I create a stub on the subject. I googled how to make a stub on wikipedia and arrived at Wikipedia:Make_stubs which looks exactly like guidelines for making stubs. I followed the guidelines scrupulously. The guidelines did not say that a stub needed to make apparent the subject's notability. The stub I created was tagged for deletion and then deleted because it did not indicate the subject's notability. On closer inspection I see that Wikipedia:Make_stubs includes a link to Wikipedia:Stub which says that even a stub must indicate the subject's notability. The link to Wikipedia:Stub was not at all obvious in Wikipedia:Make_stubs because it was camouflaged by boldface type and Wikipedia:Make_stubs did not make clear that there existed other guidelines which must be followed. The subject of the stub I created, Eugene Asti, is indeed notable (he is a prominent classical musician with at least 16 commercial recordings to his name and he regularly performs as a recital partner with other musicians who are notable enough to have Wikipedia articles already). I spent about two hours creating the stub and I would like to be able to edit it to add an indication of the subject's notability instead of having to start over from scratch. I did not anticipate that the stub I created would be deleted because I thought I was following the guidelines scrupulously so I did not keep a copy of the text and references.
