S. Nottani (Malayalam:എസ്. നൊട്ടാണി) was an Indian filmmaker[1] who was created the first Malayalam "talkie Balan (film)[2][3] in 1938. He had also directed a Malayalam movie, Gnanambika in (1940). His most contribution were mainly focused in Tamil film industry and he directed Santhana Thevan (1937), Sathyavaani (1939)[4], Bhaktha Gowri(1941)[5], Sivalinga Satchi (1942)[6] and Inbavalli(1949)[7].
