Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi (English: A few colors of love can be like this too) is an Indian romance fiction television series, which aired on Sony Entertainment Television (India)[1] from February 29, 2016[2] to August 24, 2017.

Shaheer Sheikh, Erica Fernandes and Supriya Pilgaonkar play the lead roles. The series is a realistic take on the romantic relationship between Dev and Sonakshi. Their love story and how it will impact the unique, close-knit relationship between Dev and his mother is the main theme of the show. The Show is set to return in september on Sony.[1][3]

Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi has been dubbed in Tamil as Ini Ellam Vasanthame (Hereafter Only Spring) and broadcast on Polimer TV, and in Telugu as Amma Nenu O Ammayi on Gemini TV. It is also dubbed in Malayalam as Pranayavarnangal (Colours Of Love) and is currently airing on Kairali TV. It is dubbed in Arabic as well as وجوه الحب (The Faces of Love) and airs on MBC Bollywood.[4] Due to Sheikh's popularity in Indonesia, the show has also been dubbed in Bahasa as Dev & Sona and airs on ANTV.[5]

The series has received positive critical response, with some praise directed at Sheikh's performance and his chemistry with Erica Fernandes.[6][7] In late November 2016, there were reports stating that the show is going to go off air giving way to historical drama Peshwa Bajirao, but rejecting the reports the channel briefed that, "Kuch Rang is one of our best shows. It is doing great on the TRP charts and also has a dedicated fan following. People love the characters. There’s no question of ending the show."[8]

In January 2017, after Dev and Sonakshi's separation in the show a 7-year leap was introduced.[9] Dev was shown as a person who cares only about himself and Sonakshi turned into a mature businesswoman and a single mother.[10] The show became the most popular feature show on Indian Television on the basis of The Times of India's conducted poll on twitter in late March 2017.[11]

Plot

The show is set in Delhi, and revolves around Mr. Devrath Dixit, a business tycoon and Dr. Sonakshi Bose, a nutritionist.

Dev is a successful business tycoon who lives with his mother Ishwari, whom he's devoted to, his three beloved sisters, Neha, Nikki and Riya, his uncle, aunt and their son. Sonakshi, on the other hand is a consulting nutritionist, who hails from a middle class Bengali family of five, and is appointed by Dev for Ishwari's permanent consulting nutritionist. Initially, both Ishwari and Dev are indifferent to Sonakshi but gradually form a bond with her. Sona falls for Dev but Dev has become engaged to business partner Natasha. Just before his engagement, Dev realsies his love for Sona and they confess their feelings to each other. Dev's sister Neha meanwhile gets married to Ranveer, her English tutor who is from a lower middle class family.

Ishwari finds out about Dev and Sonakshi's relationship and reluctantly agrees to their alliance but soon succumbs to depression finding it hard to make room for another woman in her son's life. Sensing his mother's disapproval, Dev breaks up with Sona. Dev and Sona fail to move on in their relationship and Ishwari, on seeing Dev's condition, agrees to their marriage and later marry.

After Riya, Vicky too joins Dev's company as the project head after Ishwari manipulates Dev to do so. Ranveer files harassment case against Neha, which leads to their divorce. Sona prevents Riya from marrying Ayaan, a con. Sona's cousin Elena elopes with Vicky shocking the Bose family. Dev resolves Bose family's financial crisis. Sona comes to know from Dev, the hidden truth, that she has only 7% chance of conceiving. Sona agrees upon doing infertility treatments as decided by Ishwari. Ishwari comes to know about Dev's investment in Saurabh's business from Dev's aunt Radha, which leads to the couple signing the prenuptial agreement paper and they get separated.

A seven-year leap in the storyline Bose family has moved to Kolkata. Sona and Dev have a daughter, Soha, and Dev does not know about it as she was born after their divorce. Elena and Vicky have a son, Golu. Elena has become a professional photographer. Sona is a successful businesswoman in her field. She comes to Delhi with Soha for business and also to receive the Businesswoman of the Year award, and stays at her Delhi home which she brought back. Dev at first rejects the invitation of award show but when his employee tells him that Dr. Bose (Sonakshi) is the recipient of the award and that she is going to attend the function, then Dev also decides to attend the function. At the award function their first confrontation post leap occurs. Soha comes to know from Sonakshi that her father Mr.Dev Dixit lives in Delhi. Soha and Golu study in the same school. Rest of the Bose family returns to Delhi. Sona's childhood friend Jatin has become a close friend of the family. Dev gradually becomes jealous of Jatin and finds out that Soha is his daughter and shares his feelings with Ishwari. He reveals his identity to Soha.

Soha later accepts Dev as her father. Saurabh gets married to Ronita. Dev and Sona live together for Soha's sake. Then enters Khatri with Ishwari's dark past. According to plan made by Radha and Vicky, Radha convinces Ishwari to ask Dev to marry again. Ishwari asks Dev to marry Sonakshi again or marry someone else. However, Ishwari still does not like Sonakshi. Sonakshi and Dev work together to free Ishwari from her dark past by trying to trap Khatri. They figure out that Ishwari had stolen a small part of the jewellery but Khatri had stolen a lot more jewellery and had put the blame on Ishwari. The person whom they stole from finds out the truth that Ishwari didn't steal all the jewelry and she forgives her. This makes Ishwari like Sonakshi for freeing her from her past. Ishwari wants to reunite Dev and Sona. However Sonakshi is reluctant to reunite with Dev. Dev and Nisha, his fiancé plan their engagement the very next day Sona realises her love for Dev as planned by Ishwari, Dev and Soha. Finally Sonakshi realises and proposes Dev in the rain.

Soon Sona tries to find out about Dev's sister and that is when she comes to know that they have left their house because of Dev's behaviour in the past seven years. Dev meets Ria and apologizes to her and Riya forgives him. Dev and Sona come to know that Nikki is in a live in relationship with Lakshya (Ashwini Koul) and coincidently Ishwari starts working as an employee in Lakshya's company. However Ishwari rejects Nikki's relationship but Lakshya asks Nikki to stay with her family. Dev and his sisters get reunited for a family photoshoot. The same day Sona is attacked by goons. This makes Dev possessive for Sona but later she explains him that she had to change with time for Suha and has to hold back her emotions. Vicky's plotting against Dev continues and Dev finds out that Vicky had tried to steal the software owned by his company and sell it to his opponent he also comes to know how Vicky had created misunderstandings between him and Sona seven years ago and thus throws him out of Ishwari Nivas.

Now Vicky plans to enter Dev's house by pretending to be good in front of Sonakshi when she went for the meeting in a restaurant and she sees him working in a restaurant as a manager. Meanwhile, Ronita gets pregnant. When Sonakshi goes to home, she tells everything to Elena and by thinking that despite of Vicky tries to be better person, Dev is not trusting him. One day when Dev go to school to pick up Soha, he saw that Vicky is playing with her and she fell down. Dev loses his temper and slaps him and comes to home. Elena gets informed of this situation and she also left Dev's house among with Golu. This makes Dev sad because of his love for Golu which was developed post Sonakshi and Dev's separation. At Soha's birthday party, she tells Dev that she will not cut the cake if Vicky Uncle will not come to party. This makes Dev feel miserable and he goes to pick up Vicky from his home. Vicky tells Dev that he is getting ready but goes through the back door of his house to attend the party. Dev somehow noticed this. After the birthday party, Dev tells Vicky that he is not his (Dev's) brother from now and hands him one of his company. Vicky feels guilty.
