R. L. Boyce (Born August 15, 1955) is an American blues singer, songwriter, and guitarist born and raised in Como, Mississippi, hometown north Mississippi Hill country blues legend Mississippi Fred McDowell. [1]
Boyce began his career in the early 60's playing drums for his uncle, the famed Fife and Drum music artist Othar Turner. [2]
His debut full length album, entitled Ain't the Man's Alright was released when he was 52 years old and features noteworthy musicians including Cedric Burnside, Luther Dickinson, and Calvin Jackson. [3]
