I know that her name is confusing, especially so to people who are used to seeing married women's names as FirstName MaidenName-MarriedName, but let us please stick to the names she officially used when competing and the names officially in the International Skating Union lists. I have created direct links to Karin Enke on all pages I could find, while displaying her name as the name she officially used at the respective times. To wit:
- All tournaments labelled in the years up to and including 1981 (even if those tournaments were held in, for instance, December of 1980 – those tournaments were still the 1981 <something> Championships): Karin Enke.
- Tournaments labelled 1982 (even late 1981): Karin Busch.
- Tournaments labelled 1983 and 1984 (even... (do I need to explain?)): Karin Enke.
- Tournaments labelled 1985 and onwards: Karin Kania.
- After her retirement from speed skating (after the 1987/1988 winter season): Karin Enke-Richter.
So, please, stick to these uses of her name in all articles (preferably displaying her correct name at the time (be it Karin Enke or Karin Busch or Karin Kania or Karin Enke-Richter or ...), but linking directly to Karin Enke), including (but not limited to) all types of World Championships, European Championships, World Cup, world records, and (East) German Championships and records.
She did not use Karin Busch-Enke or Karin Kania-Enke as official names while competing; if these names appear anywhere, then they are only used to clarify things like "Karin Kania is the same person as Karin Enke.")

One more thing: I very much object to people "sorting" the Olympic medals. After all, the fact that the Olympic Medal Record Table uses colours makes it very easy to count gold vs. silver vs. bronze, no matter in which order those medals are listed ("ranked"/"sorted"), but it does not show the actual progression or decline of the athlete. Yes, I agree that gold is probably more important than a "large" number of silver and/or bronze medals, but the simple fact that colours are used makes the "style" of sorting by medal colour prefer one thing that is ALREADY highlighted and so does not need to be highlighted (highlit?) more than progression/decline.
