The Synthesis Tour is a concert tour by American rock band Evanescence, in support of their fourth album Synthesis.[1] This will be the first tour where the band includes an orchestra.[2] The tour includes 28 concerts in different cities across North-America in 2017 and 15 concerts in Europe in 2018.
Background
The tour was announced by the band on August 14, 2017, in a video posted on their official Facebook account. It was revealed that they would be joined by an orchestra to perform reworked versions of some of their well-known songs included on their fourth studio album Synthesis (2017). According to the band's lead singer Amy Lee, the goal behind the performances of the tour is to emphasize the vocal performance, emotions and stories behind the lyrics of the band's songs.[3] With the purchase of tickets for the concerts, concertgoers received a free download of the album along with an instant download of the reworked version of "Bring Me to Life" included on Synthesis.[3]
