Chiyo Miyako (born May 2,1901) is a Japanese supercentenarian who is, at the age 116, the second oldest verified living person behind Nabi Tajima. She became the second oldest person upon the death of Violet Brown on September 15,2017. She is the 40th person to reach the age 115 and the 17th person to reach the age 116. She is the oldest Japanese person behind Tane Ikai, Misao Okawa and Nabi Tajima.
