Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion
Requests for undeletion is a process intended to assist users in restoring pages or files that were uncontroversially deleted via proposed deletion, under certain speedy deletion criteria (such as maintenance deletions or rejected Articles for creation drafts), or in deletion debates with little or no participation other than the nominator. This page is also intended to serve as a central location to request that deleted content be userfied, restored as a draft or emailed to you so the content can be improved upon prior to re-insertion into the mainspace, or used elsewhere (you may also make a request directly to one of the administrators listed here). This means that content deleted after discussion—at articles for deletion, categories for discussion, or miscellany for deletion among other deletion processes—may in some cases be provided to you, but such controversial page deletions will not be overturned through this process. Copyright violations and attack pages will not be provided at all.
This page is only for requesting undeletion of articles or files which have already been deleted. If the article you are concerned about is still visible, but has a warning message (template) at the top, please do not post here, but follow the instructions in the template or on your talk page. Please do not request that articles deleted under speedy deletion criteria A7, G4, G5 or G11 be undeleted here.
Note that requests for undeletion are not a replacement for deletion review. If you feel an administrator has erred in closing a deletion discussion or in applying a speedy deletion criterion, please contact them directly. If you discuss but are unable to resolve the issue on their talk page, it should be raised at Wikipedia:Deletion review, rather than here.
- Instructions for special cases
- G13. Abandoned Drafts and Articles for creation submissions – see Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion/G13 for instructions.
To contest deletions that have have already been discussed (in particular, at Articles for deletion), or that are likely to be controversial, please make a request at Wikipedia:Deletion review instead. |

The file was deleted as it was on commons but it has been deleted [1]. Can it be checked to see if suitable for refund locally? —KylieTastic (talk) 13:25, 10 September 2017 (UTC)
- According to commons:Commons:Deletion_requests/File:Arecibo_Observatory_Aerial_View.jpg the file isn't public domain, therefore it would need permission from the photographer. Then again, it's available from a government website at https://www.nsf.gov/news/special_reports/astronomy/downloads.jsp so I can't say I understand the deletion rationale. If the rationale is valid, I have no idea how we'd tag the image if it were restored. ~Anachronist (talk) 20:57, 10 September 2017 (UTC)
- That site's policies make it clear that they do not only host pictures that are works of the US government. —Kusma (t·c) 11:42, 15 September 2017 (UTC)

OTRS permission received, ticket:2017091110019457. ——Guanaco 12:39, 13 September 2017 (UTC)
- @Guanaco: For that OTRS permission to be valid, we need permission from the photographer, not the subject. That doesn't look like a self-portrait to me. Please clarify. ~Anachronist (talk) 16:55, 13 September 2017 (UTC)
- @Anachronist: Always hard to tell without seeing the image for myself. Your assessment's good enough; no need to undelete unless the uploader resolves that. —Guanaco 18:06, 13 September 2017 (UTC)

Panayiotis Kalorkoti
Wikipedia Deletion policy states that ‘If in doubt as to whether there is consensus to delete a page, administrators normally will not delete it’. I do not believe there is consensus to delete. The reason for deletion of the Panayiotis Kalorkoti page is given as: ‘On the surface, the list of external links might suggest that this subject meets Wikipedia's notability guidelines. However, many of the links are just to catalogue entries. There appears to be a lack of significant coverage in reliable, independent sources here. There is a small amount of local news coverage, but I haven't been able to find much else. Cordless Larry (talk) 20:44, 14 August 2017 (UTC)’ And: ‘Weak delete. On the one hand, the three exhibition reviews in local newspapers meet WP:ARTIST standard 3. On the other hand, the article is plainly WP:PROMOTION driven by an SPA. I don't think Mr Kalorkoti is encyclopedic quite yet. Matt's talk 02:03, 15 August 2017 (UTC)’.
These statements may appear reasonable but are not correct. The Wikipedia page has not been updated and does not have accurate record of sources. There are reliable and independent sources. Some example:

Panayiotis Kalorkoti —2.25.61.64 (talk) 13:35, 13 September 2017 (UTC)
- Declined for the time being. To put it bluntly, that is a vanity article, which existed solely for publicity purposes, primarily edited by you or your associates. Just because something qualifies for restoration due to the manner of its deletion, doesn't mean it should be restored in its current state. I could restore it to draft space for rewrite, under the condition that it be submitted for review via Wikipedia:Articles for creation and passes review, which should have been done in the first place due to the conflict of interest problems in the article. ~Anachronist (talk) 20:18, 15 September 2017 (UTC)
Undeletion request for the page.
The article was not primarily edited by me or my associates. I wish to make it clear that I do not know anyone who edited the article.
As admitted the article qualifies for restoration and I ask you to restore it so it can be edited and improved.
Many thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.25.61.64 (talk) 10:00, 16 September 2017 (UTC)
- We aren't stupid. The majority of edits in that article were by addresses in your IP address range as well as by a single-purpose-account "Pan67" who edited solely in behalf of the subject of that article. That's the majority of edits to the article. So what else should we conclude? I suggest greater transparency on your part. ~Anachronist (talk) 22:54, 16 September 2017 (UTC)
Undeletion request for the page.
I have been transparent and have made a reasonable request. I do not think you are stupid but you have made assumptions which are not correct. I repeat again that the article was not primarily edited by me or my associates. I do not know anyone who edited the article.
I ask you to restore it so it can be edited and improved. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.25.61.64 (talk) 09:41, 17 September 2017 (UTC)
- So... The majority of edits are from your IP address range and a username that resembles your actual name, all editing in your behalf. The conclusion from that evidence is obvious.
- In any case, I have seen no agreement to the conditions I offered in my first reply in this section. Do you agree to work on the article solely in draft space, and submit it for review, and refrain from making any substantive changes to the article once it is published in main space? ~Anachronist (talk) 15:28, 18 September 2017 (UTC)
Undeletion request for the page.
I have repeatedly stated that the article was not primarily edited by me or my associates and that I do not know anyone who edited the article or anything about any usernames. Your assumptions are not correct since I know nothing about other IP addresses. Also there has been no consensus to delete. The administrator Cordless Larry, who originally deleted the page, states on his page ‘The discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Panayiotis Kalorkoti resulted in a delete outcome, but there wasn't much discussion, so you could put in a request at Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion, as stated at the top of the discussion page. Cordless Larry (talk) 13:46, 13 September 2017 (UTC)’
I ask you again to restore the page so it can be edited and improved by you or anyone else. Finally I wish to say that I have no intention of ‘making any substantive changes to the article once it is published in main space’. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.25.61.64 (talk • contribs) 16:33, 18 September 2017 (UTC)
- Please note that I am not an administrator and did not delete the article. I am a regular editor and nominated it for deletion. Cordless Larry (talk) 18:53, 18 September 2017 (UTC)
- Thank you. The article has been restored to Draft:Panayiotis Kalorkoti because it is unlikely to survive long in main space due to the prior deletion discussions. I have restored it to draft space subject to these conditions:
- You or anyone associated with you may make substantial changes to the article in draft space only. Please add any prose and additional sources you mentioned above. This is an article about you, not a CV, so please refrain from including references or links to your own works. There should be references to significant coverage of you by reliable secondary sources that are independent of you.
- The article must be submitted for review via Wikipedia:Articles for creation, and pass review, before moving it to main article space. A convenient submission box has been provided at the top of the draft article, to submit the article for review when you judge it ready.
- You or anyone associated with you must refrain from making further substantial changes to the article after it is published in main article space. When published in main space, it is still acceptable for editors with a conflict of interest to make minor corrections to spelling, grammar, and numerical figures, as well as reverting obvious vandalism and adding more citations to reliable secondary sources.
- Have at it. Please also note that draft articles are deleted after six months if there has been no editing activity. ~Anachronist (talk) 18:51, 18 September 2017 (UTC)
Template:WikiProject Systems/rater-data.js
This "Template" went uncontested at TfD on July 12 as an unused template. It is actually a JavaScript object to help User:Kephir/gadgets/rater determine the parameters of a WikiProject template (you can read more at User:Kephir/gadgets/rater/data-format). While the Systems WikiProject is only semi-active, this would still help sort articles that are of interest to the WikiProject if they ever become more active. Thanks, —menaechmi (talk) 17:30, 13 September 2017 (UTC)
- @Fastily: It appears you deleted this template. Do you agree with the above rationale for restoration? ~Anachronist (talk) 20:20, 15 September 2017 (UTC)

The article on the above subject; "draft Ejembi John Onah", was deleted by dodger67. After discussing the issue with dodger67 who deleted the article, he further forwarded the issue to Primefac who advised me to request for undeletion after review and detailed discussions on the matter. Please it would be appreciated if the article is undeleted so that it can be worked on before moving for review or to the article space, thanks It should be noted that the article was deleted initially via G4, later improved substantially and moved to draft space by Primefac before Dodger67 deleted it but all thesame both he and Primefac after detailed discussion, advised that undeletion should be requested. Thanks Ejembi12 (talk) 03:37, 14 September 2017 (UTC)
Ejembi12 (talk) 08:53, 14 September 2017 (UTC)
- Comment The OP is misunderstanding/misrepresenting my and Primefac's opinions. Please see User talk:Dodger67#Re: Draft:Ejembi John Onah, Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation/Help desk#03:29:14, 12 September 2017 review of submission by TerungwaSamuel and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ejembi John Onah. The subject is simply a non-notable "run-of-the-mill" academic, but is very determined to have an article on WP. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 11:34, 14 September 2017 (UTC)
- Comment to further add to this, while I did suggest posting here, it was simply because the first request for undeletion, "talk to the deleting admin", was declined, and DRV is a great way to "put a nail in the coffin" as it were for continuous creation. That being said, I'm on-the-fence-leaning-towards-deletion for this draft; while I have yet to see any compelling evidence I am willing to be convinced that the subject could be notable. Primefac (talk) 13:08, 14 September 2017 (UTC)
The subject is distinguished Primefac and dodger67 being a chairman of a nano academy covering 189 countries with all global leaders of nano as members including several Nobel laureates which is more than being a chair of a Harvard or Cambridge University department since academies oversee universities and such institutions: Apart from that the subject has hundreds of citations from peer review journals from secondary source which alone proofs notability as in criterion 1 on notability by Wikipedia: "1. The person's research has made significant impact in their scholarly discipline, broadly construed, as demonstrated by independent reliable sources. To count towards satisfying Criterion 1, citations need to occur in peer-reviewed scholarly publications such as journals or academic books". The subject satisfies this criterion 1 as seen by many high impact peer review journal publications with many hundreds of citations, the subject is only required to proof 1 out of the 9 criteria on notability by wiki. Some of the citations from high impact peer review are pasted below: Reference 6 as in the article citations:

From Macromolecules (Washington, DC, United States) (2009), 42(23), 9275-9288. Language: English, Database: CAPLUS, DOI:10.1021/ma900930q
New highly fluorinated poly(arylene ether sulfone)s (FPAES), poly(arylene ether ketone)s (FPAEK), and poly(arylene ether)s with several types of NLO chromophores as pendant groups were obtained by a polycondensation reaction using very mild conditions. The different polymer structures were designed with the objective to investigate the influence of both the polarity of the chromophore and the nature of the tether between the NLO chromophore and the chain. The resulting copolymers have glass transition temps. (Tg's) varying between 160° and 215°, and they are stable up to 280° under nitrogen. Although these copolymers are sol. in common org. solvents, cyclohexanone gave the best film quality and was used for the film prepn. After optimization of the poling conditions, the in situ second harmonic generation (SHG) measurements gave nonresonant values of the second-order susceptibilities d33 ranging from 2 to 8 pm/V, and the SHG signals of the poled polymer films were found to be thermally stable below 130°. Although being comparable with the values obtained for similar polymers and chromophores in the literature, d33 are smaller than those obtained for more conventional NLO polymers like PMMA-Disperse Red One (PMMA-DR1), which was taken as a ref. An unusual drop of the SHG signal during cooling was found in the thermally assisted orientation process. This drop occurred at a characteristic temp. below Tg. In this relaxation process which has never been obsd., intra- and interchain dipolar interactions are shown to play an important role, which is amplified in the case of chromophores which have their donor group embedded in the main chain, connected by two rigid tethers. ~15 Citings Copyright © 2017 American Chemical Society (ACS). Polymers contg. maleic anhydride and biphenyl liq. crystal groups were prepd. and the structure of mono- and multilayers was studied. Polysulfone materials having the biphenyl mesogenic group were also studied. The polymers gave steep isotherms with high collapse pressure, indicating good packing of the monolayers, and could be deposited to form thick LB multilayers. X-ray diffraction showed that an ordered multilayer was formed, and the effects of chem. compn. on the structure of the LB films were elucidated. The dominant factor in monolayer structure is the nature of the polymer backbone rather than that of the liq. crystal side chains. ~2 Citings Copyright © 2017 American Chemical Society (ACS). 22. Cross-Linkable Highly Fluorinated Poly(Arylene Ether Ketones/Sulfones) for Optical Waveguiding Applications By Qi, Yinghua; Ding, Jianfu; Day, Michael; Jiang, Jia; Callender, Claire L. From Chemistry of Materials (2005), 17(3), 676-682. Language: English, Database: CAPLUS, DOI:10.1021/cm048587u
Novel cross-linkable, highly fluorinated poly(arylene ether ketones/sulfones) have been prepd. by copolycondensation reactions of perfluorinated arom. ketone/sulfone with 4,4'-(hexafluoroisopropylidene)diphenol and a tetrafluorostyrol-contg. bisphenol (i.e., 1,1-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)ethyl-1-Ph 2,3,5,6-tetrafluorostyrol ether). The reactions were conducted at low temp. in the presence of calcium hydride and cesium fluoride. The resulting polymers have no.-av. mol. wts. in the range of 25,000-36,000, excellent solubilities in common org. solvents, high glass transition temps. (Tg) in the region of 150-185°, and good thermal stabilities (Td up to 480°). Tough, flexible, and transparent thin films of these polymers can be readily prepd. by both soln. casting and spin-coating. By adjusting the feed ratio of monomers, the refractive index and crosslinking d. of the polymers can be readily controlled. Crosslinking of these polymers has been demonstrated by both thermal heating and UV irradn. The cross-linked polymer thin films exhibit low optical loss (∼0.5 dB/cm) and low birefringence (∼2 × 10-3) at 1550 nm, demonstrating that they are promising candidates for optical waveguide materials. ~70 Citings Copyright © 2017 American Chemical Society (ACS). A review. Plant oils are already one of the most important platform chems. for the chem. industry due to its universal availability, inherent biodegradability, and low price. Nowadays, plant oils are already a com. source of multifunctional monomers and oligomers for polyurethane synthesis, and the design of novel biobased polyols derived from them is an active area of research. By taking advantage of the wide variety of possibilities for chem. modification of plant oils, there is a broad palette of strategies to functionalize its structure with hydroxyl groups. The purpose of this review is to comprehensively overview recent developments on the prepn. of biobased polyols from plant oils. ~184 Citings Copyright © 2017 American Chemical Society (ACS). These are just few examples of the subject scholarly work as an established academics from ivy league institutions including Max Planck Institute of Molecular Plant Physiology and Cornell University. The article will be further worked on as it was deleted at the draft stage, so undeletion is requested. It must be pointed out that Jmcgnh, Swister Twister and TerungwaSamuel among others reviewed/contributed to the article which was substantially different from the earlier version deleted by dodger67 as moved to draft space by Primefac, supported the reference to be worked on along with citations

As can be seen from citation 13 on reference 6 above; the discovery by the subject of polymer nanofilm with dielectric constant of 1.5 which is the lowest ever reported globally in literature is a revolution to nanoelectronics that affects all electronics from cellphone to computer to make electronics smaller and stronger to perform more tasks. Let it be further known that the subject is an Editor-In-Chief of a peer review Journal Nanotechnology Progress International (JONPI) with several Nobel Laureates as editors, the subject is also a recipient of a prestigious German international scholarship -KAAD and with a second doctorate in theology sets the subject among the very very few distinguished academics globally that notability becomes an easy answer.

Dear Wikipedia: I think you shouldn't have deleted this page because I was working on this author and looking forward to publishing the information in both English, that is a universal language, and in Spanish, since the author writes in this language. Also, the reason why I couldn't update the information more frequently was because I had to do some research and that took time. - Not done – this Requests for Undeletion process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially, and does not apply to articles deleted after a deletion discussion. Since the article you are here about was deleted after a discussion took place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/CRMNEXT (2nd nomination), it cannot be undeleted through this process. However, if you believe that the outcome of the discussion did not reflect the consensus of the participants, or that significant new information has come to light since the article was deleted, you may contact the administrator who closed the discussion, user RoySmith (talk · contribs). After you do so, if your concerns are not addressed and you still seek undeletion, a request may be made at deletion review. ~Anachronist (talk) 15:32, 18 September 2017 (UTC)

unocoin
Unocoin Technologies Pvt Ltd has been one of the leading Bitcoin trading & merchant service provider in India for the general public. There is every right for Unocoin to own a Wikipedia page with details on the company & services offered. However, with some recent edits on the page suggested by users, we have seen that the page was deleted without any prior warnings or elaborated reasons making the visibility and authenticity of news related to the company difficult. We would request you to un-delete the page (and provide any insights on how to rectify unintentional violations of page rules). —kittusiva (talk) 12:40, 18 September 2017 (UTC)
- @Kittusiva: Not done and will not be done
- First, who exactly is this "we" you refer to?
- Fair warning was given to the creator of the article at User talk:Baleepgain, as is customary when nominating an article for speedy deletion.
- No company has "every right" to have an article on Wikipedia. Just the opposite. Companies that attempt to use Wikipedia for publicity purposes have zero right to have an article here.
- The article was deleted, multiple times, in accordance with WP:G11 (unambiguous promotion). Wikipedia is not a promotion or publicity medium. Attempts to use Wikipedia in that manner will lead to article create protection (which has happened), blocking user accounts, and blacklisting the company's domain name so that it can never be used on Wikipedia.
- I suggest you start over from scratch at Draft:Unocoin and submit the article for review via Wikipedia:Articles for creation. That is the only way an editor with a conflict of interest (like you apparently have) can publish an article here. ~Anachronist (talk) 15:41, 18 September 2017 (UTC)

@Tres Dedos: Declined for now. This is the English Wikipedia, and that draft article isn't in English. Also go to WP:CHU/Simple to change your username first. Wikipedia doesn't allow organizations (such as bands) to have user accounts. Your username must represent only you as an individual. ~Anachronist (talk) 20:22, 18 September 2017 (UTC)
Draft:George Francis Donohue
I would like to fix the reference errors on the page and resubmit —Rattazzimedia (talk) 19:33, 18 September 2017 (UTC)
- Not done. @Rattazzimedia: Go to WP:CHU/Simple to change your usernamet - Wikipedia prohibits companies to have accounts here. Your username must represent only you as an individual. After you do that, see WP:PAID for instructions on disclosing your paid editing status — a legal obligation to which you agreed when you created your account. The draft article Draft:George Francis Donohue already exists, there is nothing to undelete. ~Anachronist (talk) 20:29, 18 September 2017 (UTC)

- @GeoffreyT2000: It was deleted via WP:PROD, so I have restored it, but the article doesn't demonstrate notability. It may not survive long in main space. ~Anachronist (talk) 18:15, 19 September 2017 (UTC)

Debris documentar
Please restore my article. I was out of home so I did not have time to contest your deletion and only saw it now. To reiterate: I translated it from the German equivalent Wiki, so, obviously, they did not have a problem vis-a-vis notability/importance over there (and I added references to reliable sources), plus, my article was approved here by another editor via the articles for creation apparatus. As for content: no, it was not vandalism. I realize the film's content is, to put it mildly, not everyone's cup of tea, yet, everything described in the text actually happened in the film. I have worked hard on this entry: Please reply ASAP. —79.183.203.120 (talk) 20:39, 20 September 2017 (UTC)

Hi. Thanks for your great work.
The file Joh_McCaskill.jpg has been deleted, with a message "Lack of licensing information". I believe I enclosed the appropriate copyright tags (from template instructions), and I had the copyright holder send an email to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org (included below; it was copied pretty much verbatim from your templates).
I request that the file be restored, and I would appreciate very much any clues regarding how to resolve the problem. (Is it my formatting of the copyright notice? Is it the form of the letter? Is it a lack of communications between permissions-commons@wikimedia.org and the managers of the file?)
Thanks in advance for any help,
Norman Packard

- I have redacted your email address (for your safety) and the email you had forwarded to the WMF (for the sender's safety and to limit copyright issues). This page cannot do anything until there's been a reply to it, at which point a member of WP:OTRS will request undeletion of the image here citing a ticket for it. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 01:30, 21 September 2017 (UTC)
- Also note that if the file was on Wikimedia Commons, then we can do jack squat about it; Commons and Wikipedia are completely separate projects with their own admins and procedures. Everything I said above still applies, as far as I know. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 01:33, 21 September 2017 (UTC)
- Done, image restored and tagged. Fortunately it wasn't on Commons. ~Anachronist (talk) 02:40, 21 September 2017 (UTC)

Claremont Rug Company
When updating the Bakshaish, Caucasian, Sultanabad pages I added in information for Claremont Rug Company's Rug Type Guide pages which provides scholarly information on the origin, colors, design, and rich history of these Persian Rugs. My intention was not to advertise or promote Claremont Rug Company but to give reference to where the information came from. Our page has now been deleted and I request that it please be restored and in the future, I will not add written content to corresponding pages from our website. My intention was to provide more educational information about these types of rugs to enhance the user experience when searching through Wikipedia for these rug types and then reference the source not to promote our website. Thank you. —Rug Connoisseur (talk) 01:07, 21 September 2017 (UTC)
- Not done. Almost every sentence in that article included instances of unsubstantiated puffery. It was definitely not written in a neutral manner as required by WP:NPOV. Furthermore, your use of "we" and "our website" indicates that you have an association with this company, in which case you shouldn't be creating articles in main space directly (see WP:COI). Instead, you should use your sandbox or draft space (such as Draft:Claremont Rug Company) and submit it for review via Wikipedia:Articles for creation (AFC). AFC is really the only realistic venue for an editor with a conflict of interest to create an article here. Because there is no benefit to the Wikipedia project in restoring a promotional article, it will not be restored and should be rewritten from scratch. Please start over in draft space and use AFC. ~Anachronist (talk) 02:50, 21 September 2017 (UTC)

Enter your reasoning here and then click the "Save page" button below —Journochronicles (talk) 07:38, 21 September 2017 (UTC) Ratan Pratap is a public figure in India. An article on him was written with less sources. However, I have created a new draft with enough citations. I would request you to kindly undelete this page so I can put references and move it to mainspace again. As he is a Bollywood personality I would request admin to help me with recreation of title- Ratan Pratap.
