    Requests for undeletion is a process intended to assist users in restoring pages or files that were uncontroversially deleted via proposed deletion, under certain speedy deletion criteria (such as maintenance deletions or rejected Articles for creation drafts), or in deletion debates with little or no participation other than the nominator. This page is also intended to serve as a central location to request that deleted content be userfied, restored as a draft or emailed to you so the content can be improved upon prior to re-insertion into the mainspace, or used elsewhere (you may also make a request directly to one of the administrators listed here). This means that content deleted after discussion—at articles for deletion, categories for discussion, or miscellany for deletion among other deletion processes—may in some cases be provided to you, but such controversial page deletions will not be overturned through this process. Copyright violations and attack pages will not be provided at all.

    This page is only for requesting undeletion of articles or files which have already been deleted. If the article you are concerned about is still visible, but has a warning message (template) at the top, please do not post here, but follow the instructions in the template or on your talk page. Please do not request that articles deleted under speedy deletion criteria A7, G4, G5 or G11 be undeleted here.

    According to commons:Commons:Deletion_requests/File:Arecibo_Observatory_Aerial_View.jpg the file isn't public domain, therefore it would need permission from the photographer. Then again, it's available from a government website at https://www.nsf.gov/news/special_reports/astronomy/downloads.jsp so I can't say I understand the deletion rationale.     Panayiotis Kalorkoti

    Wikipedia Deletion policy states that ‘If in doubt as to whether there is consensus to delete a page, administrators normally will not delete it’. I do not believe there is consensus to delete. The reason for deletion of the Panayiotis Kalorkoti page is given as: ‘On the surface, the list of external links might suggest that this subject meets Wikipedia's notability guidelines. However, many of the links are just to catalogue entries. There appears to be a lack of significant coverage in reliable, independent sources here. There is a small amount of local news coverage, but I haven't been able to find much else. Cordless Larry (talk) 20:44, 14 August 2017 (UTC)’ And: ‘Weak delete. On the one hand, the three exhibition reviews in local newspapers meet WP:ARTIST standard 3. On the other hand, the article is plainly WP:PROMOTION driven by an SPA.     no Declined for the time being. To put it bluntly, that is a vanity article, which existed solely for publicity purposes, primarily edited by you or your associates. Just because something qualifies for restoration due to the manner of its deletion, doesn't mean it should be restored in its current state. I could restore it to draft space for rewrite, under the condition that it be submitted for review via Wikipedia:Articles for creation and passes review, which should have been done in the first place due to the conflict of interest problems in the article. ~Anachronist (talk) 20:18, 15 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    We aren't stupid. The majority of edits in that article were by addresses in your IP address range as well as by a single-purpose-account "Pan67" who edited solely in behalf of the subject of that article.     So... The majority of edits are from your IP address range and a username that resembles your actual name, all editing in your behalf. The conclusion from that evidence is obvious.
    In any case, I have seen no agreement to the conditions I offered in my first reply in this section.     I have repeatedly stated that the article was not primarily edited by me or my associates and that I do not know anyone who edited the article or anything about any usernames. Your assumptions are not correct since I know nothing about other IP addresses. Also there has been no consensus to delete. The administrator Cordless Larry, who originally deleted the page, states on his page ‘The discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Panayiotis Kalorkoti resulted in a delete outcome, but there wasn't much discussion, so you could put in a request at Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion, as stated at the top of the discussion page.     Template:WikiProject Systems/rater-data.js

    This "Template" went uncontested at TfD on July 12 as an unused template. It is actually a JavaScript object to help User:Kephir/gadgets/rater determine the parameters of a WikiProject template (you can read more at User:Kephir/gadgets/rater/data-format). While the Systems WikiProject is only semi-active, this would still help sort articles that are of interest to the WikiProject if they ever become more active.     The article on the above subject; "draft Ejembi John Onah", was deleted by dodger67. After discussing the issue with dodger67 who deleted the article, he further forwarded the issue to Primefac who advised me to request for undeletion after review and detailed discussions on the matter. Please it would be appreciated if the article is undeleted so that it can be worked on before moving for review or to the article space, thanks It should be noted that the article was deleted initially via G4, later improved substantially and moved to draft space by Primefac before Dodger67 deleted it but all thesame both he and Primefac after detailed discussion, advised that undeletion should be requested.     Comment The OP is misunderstanding/misrepresenting my and Primefac's opinions.     • Comment to further add to this, while I did suggest posting here, it was simply because the first request for undeletion, "talk to the deleting admin", was declined, and DRV is a great way to "put a nail in the coffin" as it were for continuous creation. That being said, I'm on-the-fence-leaning-towards-deletion for this draft; while I have yet to see any compelling evidence I am willing to be convinced that the subject could be notable.     The subject is distinguished Primefac and dodger67 being a chairman of a nano academy covering 189 countries with all global leaders of nano as members including several Nobel laureates which is more than being a chair of a Harvard or Cambridge University department since academies oversee universities and such institutions: Apart from that the subject has hundreds of citations from peer review journals from secondary source which alone proofs notability as in criterion 1 on notability by Wikipedia: "1. The person's research has made significant impact in their scholarly discipline, broadly construed, as demonstrated by independent reliable sources.To count towards satisfying Criterion 1, citations need to occur in peer-reviewed scholarly publications such as journals or academic books". The subject satisfies this criterion 1 as seen by many high impact peer review journal publications with many hundreds of citations, the subject is only required to proof 1 out of the 9 criteria on notability by wiki.     UV-Writing Poly(FPS-co-GMA) for optical waveguide was synthesized and the refractive index of the polymer film was tuned in the range of 1.460∼1.555 at 1550 nm by mixing with bis-phenol-A epoxy resin. The film, which was made by spinning coated the Poly(FPS-co-GMA) with photo initiator, had good UV light lithograph sensitivity. The optical waveguides with very smooth top surface were fabricated from the resulting polymer by direct UV exposure and chem. development.     A fluorine-contg. methylacrylate copolymer latex has been synthesized by emulsion polymn. and was used as a water- and oil-repellent agent to treat some pure cotton woven fabrics at different dry and curing temp. The treated cotton fabric surfaces were investigated by attenuated total reflectance IR anal. and angle-dependent XPS directly. The anal. results could agree with the fluorine-contg. copolymer real situation on the fabrics surface much more, and could indicate, factually, surface properties of treated or modified material rather than copolymer film. It was found that fluorine elements are enriched at the air-polymer interface and fluorine content of the treated cotton fabrics surface decreases with increasing anal. depth, which depends on heating and cooling experience, such as annealing and quenching. Furthermore, the results showed that almost the same effect can be attained using this copolymer curing from 100°C to 175°C; the relatively low curing temp. is very valuable and advantageous for some fabrics which would yellow easily at higher temps. The water- and oil-repellency grade of treated cotton fabrics by the fluorine-contg. methylacrylate copolymer latex increases with an increase on fluorine content on the surface.

The optical waveguides with very smooth top surface were fabricated from the resulting polymer by direct UV exposure and chem. development. For waveguides with cladding, the propagation losses of the channel waveguides were measured to be below 3 dB/cm at 1550 nm.

    A review describes the bottom-up design of ultra-thin fluorinated polymer films. Fluorinated polymer assemblies offer unique and application-oriented properties strongly correlated with surface chem. We focus on our recent topic of research, fluorinated polymer nanosheets, which are ultra-thin polymer films fabricated from amphiphilic fluorinated polyalkylacrylamides using the elegant Langmuir-Blodgett technique. These fluorinated polymer nanosheets have excellent hydrophobicity, extremely low surface energy and a low friction coeff. Therefore, fluorinated polymer nanosheets are attractive nanomaterials for surface modification in terms of tailoring of wettability, frictional properties, adhesion and surface chem.     	New highly fluorinated poly(arylene ether sulfone)s (FPAES), poly(arylene ether ketone)s (FPAEK), and poly(arylene ether)s with several types of NLO chromophores as pendant groups were obtained by a polycondensation reaction using very mild conditions.  The different polymer structures were designed with the objective to investigate the influence of both the polarity of the chromophore and the nature of the tether between the NLO chromophore and the chain.  The resulting copolymers have glass transition temps. (Tg's) varying between 160° and 215°, and they are stable up to 280° under nitrogen.  Although these copolymers are sol. in common org. solvents, cyclohexanone gave the best film quality and was used for the film prepn.  After optimization of the poling conditions, the in situ second harmonic generation (SHG) measurements gave nonresonant values of the second-order susceptibilities d33 ranging from 2 to 8 pm/V, and the SHG signals of the poled polymer films were found to be thermally stable below 130°.  Although being comparable with the values obtained for similar polymers and chromophores in the literature, d33 are smaller than those obtained for more conventional NLO polymers like PMMA-Disperse Red One (PMMA-DR1), which was taken as a ref.  An unusual drop of the SHG signal during cooling was found in the thermally assisted orientation process.  This drop occurred at a characteristic temp. below Tg.  In this relaxation process which has never been obsd., intra- and interchain dipolar interactions are shown to play an important role, which is amplified in the case of chromophores which have their donor group embedded in the main chain, connected by two rigid tethers.

    A linear fluorinated bis-phenol-A novolac resin (LFAR) for optical waveguide was synthesized based on 4,4'-(hexafluoro-isopropylidene)diphenol, epoxy chloropropane and formaldehyde. Neg. fluorinated photoresist (FP) was made by composing the LFAR, di-Ph iodonium salt and solvent. The film, which was made by spin-coating FP, had good UV light lithograph sensitivity, large hardness and high glass transition temp. (Tg >170°, after crosslinking). Low-loss optical waveguides with very smooth top surface were fabricated from the resulting FP by direct UV exposure and chem. development. For waveguides without upper cladding, the propagation loss of the channel waveguides was measured to be 0.21 dB/cm at 1550 nm.

    Pyromellitic dianhydride-4,4'-oxydianiline polyimide (PMDA-ODA) nanocomposites with low dielec. const. and good thermal properties were prepd. by blending the polyimide precursor with fluorinated polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane, octakis(dimethylsiloxy-hexafluoropropyl) silsesquioxane (OF). The low polarizability of OF is compatible with polyimide matrix, such that it can improve the dispersion and free vol. of the resulting composites. Together, the higher free vol. and lower polarizability of OF are responsible for the lower dielec. const. of the PI-OF nanocomposites. This simple method for enhancing the properties of polyimides has applicability in the electronics industry.

    The structural characterizations of arom. polyimide (PI) ultra-thin films with different fluorine contents were studied. Three types of polyamic acid (PAA) were produced from polymn. of biphenyl dianhydride (BPDA)/4,4'-oxydianiline (ODA), BPDA/2,2'-bis(trifluromethyl)benzidine (TFDB), and 4,4'-(hexafluoro isopropylidene)-diphthalic anhydride (6FDA)/TFDB in N,N-dimethylacetamide (DMAc). Polyamic acid alkyl salts (PAAS) using O,O',O-trihexadecanoyl-triethanolamine were transferred onto a Si-wafer substrate to prep. Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) films. The behaviors of PAAS monolayers at the air/water interface were confirmed with π-A isotherms and Brewster Angle Microscopy (BAM) images. The behaviors of PAAS monolayers at the air/water interface depend on the fluorine contents. As there is more fluorine in the main chain of PAAS, the area per mol. of each monolayer was increased. The structure of PAAS LB films with 10, 20, 30, and 40 layers on a substrate were investigated by UV-vis spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray reflectivity, and IR spectroscopy. The obtained PAAS LB films were imidized with a thermal treatment at 300°. The imidization of PI ultra-thin film was identified by IR spectrum. At. force microscopy (AFM) images showed that the particle size of PI ultra-thin films on a Si-wafer were about 7-25 nm.

    Highly fluorinated poly(arylene ether ketone)s and poly(arylene ether sulfone)s contg. efficient second order NLO chromophores covalently linked as side-chain groups were synthesized using a polycondensation reaction. The glass transition temps. of these copolymers were found between 163°C and 197°C. Second Harmonic Generation (SHG) coeffs. (d33) of the poled polymer films (corona poling, voltage 5 kV) reached values of about 14 pm·V-1 at 1907 nm fundamental wavelength. No appreciable decay of the SHG signal was obsd. below 130°C. These new copolymers allow a compromise to be reached between high transparency at telecommunication wavelengths (assocd. with the replacement of most of CH bonds by CF bonds), good SHG efficiency and acceptable thermal stability of the dipole orientation.

    A series of novel cross-linkable, highly halogenated poly(arylene ether ketone)s (HPAEKs) and poly(arylene ether sulfone)s (HPAESs) with different bromine contents have been designed and prepd. by polycondensation reactions for use as optical waveguide materials. The method used for their prepn. involved reacting decafluorodiphenyl ketone/sulfone (DFPK/DFPS) with a mixt. of 4,4'-isopropylidene bis(2,6-dibromophenol) (4Br-BPA), 4,4'-(hexafluoroisopropylidene)diphenol (6F-BPA), and 1,1-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)ethyl-1-Ph 2,3,5,6-tetrafluorostyryl ether (BHPFS). The feed ratio of 4Br-BPA to the total bisphenols varied from 0 to 80 mol.%, while that of BHPFS remained at 20% for all polymers. The resulting polymers have excellent soly. in most common org. solvents such as THF, cyclohexanone and N,N-dimethylacetamide (DMAc) and can be easily cast into optical-quality thin films. A high glass transition temp. in the range of 164-206 °C was found for these polymers, which could be further increased by about 20 °C upon thermal or photochem. crosslinking. Slab and channel waveguides have been prepd. from these polymers. All of them exhibited low optical loss (0.4-0.6 dB/cm) at the telecommunication wavelength of 1550 nm. Due to the relatively higher polarizability of the C-Br bond than that of the C-H bond, an increase in the refractive index was obsd. as the bromine content in the polymers increased. Consequently, the refractive index of HPAEKs and HPAESs can be readily adjusted within a wide range from 1.51 to 1.57 by simply changing the ratio of the bromine-contg. bisphenol in the feed. This variability, along with the excellent crosslinking capability, allows these polymers to be used as both the core and the cladding materials for the waveguide device fabrication and provides a greater flexibility in the design of device structures.

    A high-performance, low-dielec.-const. polyimide (PI) nanocomposite from poly(amic acid) (PAA) cured with a reactive fluorine polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) isomer was successfully synthesized. The features of this reactive fluorine POSS isomer [octakis(dimethylsiloxyhexafluoropropylglycidyl ether)silsesquioxane (OFG)] provided two important approaches (contg. fluorine or being porous in the polymer matrix) of reducing the dielec. const. of PI. This reactive POSS isomer had an av. of four epoxy groups and four fluorine groups on the POSS cage, and the epoxy groups could be cured with PAA to form a network framework of a PI/POSS nanocomposite. The PI/OFG nanocomposite had a high crosslinking d., high porosity (24.3%), high hydrophobicity, and low polarizability. These properties enhanced the thermal (glass-transition temp. ∼ 362 °C) and dielec. (dielec. const. ∼2.30) properties of PI more than other POSS derivs. introduced into the PI backbone. A large no. of small POSS particles (<10 nm) were embedded inside the PI matrix when the OFG content was low, whereas interconnected POSS aggregation domains were obsd. when the OFG content was high.

    In this work, surface modification of 6FDA-BisAAF fluorine-contained polyimide by O2 or N2 plasma was carried out and material characteristics of the surfaces after plasma treatment were investigated. XPS anal. reveals that O2 plasma reacts with carbon atoms in the polyimide structure to form C-O bonding on the surface and destroys the polymer structure. Reactions between nitrogen and fluorine are thermodynamically favorable during the N2 plasma treatment and result in a significant defluorination on the surface and an increase of water absorption. The polyimides, with or without plasma treatment, were made into a metal-insulator-silicon structure to investigate its current leakage characteristics. From the current-voltage (I-V) measurement, the N2 plasma treated sample reveals a greater leakage current than that of the untreated and O2 plasma treated sample. The unstable bonds created by the N2 plasma treatment may adsorb more H2O mols. and degraded elec. characteristics.

    New fluorinated poly(arylene ether sulfone)s (FPAES) and poly (arylene ether ketone)s (FPAEK) with two types of NLO chromophores as pendant groups were obtained by a polycondensation reaction carried out using very mild reaction conditions. The glass transition temp. (Tg) of these copolymers is between 168 and 190°C. The SHG intensity was measured during thermal corona poling : the dipole orientation starts at 100°C, and reaches a max. at 160°C, which is lower than Tg. During cooling of the film under the applied elec. field, we obsd. an unusual drop of the SHG intensity starting at 120°C and reaching 70 % of the max. value. The phys. origin of this drop has been investigated and is possibly attributable to a secondary phase transition of the copolymers. Despite this decrease, d33 coeffs. measured after poling vary between 2 and 15 pm/V at 1907 nm fundamental wavelength, depending on the first hyperpolarizability of the NLO chromophore. The dipole orientation of all these copolymers is very stable provided the temp. of the films is kept below the temp. threshold of 120°C, which is below the Tg of the polymers.

    In this work, four kinds of polyimides, with and without perfluoromethyl side groups, were synthesized from 6FDA, 3,3',4,4'-biphenyltetracarboxylic dianhydride (BPDA) and 2,2-bis(4-aminophenyl)hexafluoropropane (BisAAF), p-phenylenediamine (PPD). Properties such as compn., thermal decompn. temp., surface bonding states, gas desorption behavior, and elec. properties were investigated using elemental anal., Fourier transform IR spectrometry (FTIR), thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA), XPS, thermal desorption spectroscopy (TDS) current-voltage (I-V) and capacitance-voltage (C-V) measurements. From the results of the TGA anal., the decompn. temp. is with the sequence of BPDA-PPD > BPDA-BisAAF > 6FDA-PPD > 6FDA-BisAAF. The fragments of these polyimides during thermal degrdn. are measured by TDS anal. The effects of perfluoromethyl structure in dianhydride and diamine are also discussed.     Copolymers of styrene and fluorinated acrylate monomers with F-octylalkyl, F(CF2)8(CH2)n, side groups were prepd. by free radical polymn. Thermal behavior of the resulting polymers was investigated by DSC and TGA. Even if at the macroscopic scale the polymers surfaces are homogeneous and clear, the anal. indicates that all samples exhibit two glass transitions temps. This discontinuity may be regarded as an indication for microphase sepn. of fluorine-rich and polystyrene-rich microphases. Water and hexadecane contact angles measurements show that these polymers are quite surface active in the solid state. Surface and bulk organizations were investigated by XPS anal. A strong correlation between bulk organization and surface properties of the polymers could be established. Preferential adsorption of fluorinated segments at the material surface were more pronounced than expected in the bulk.

    Novel core-shell hybrid latex composed by two immiscible polymers has been prepd. For the first time, we utilized fluoropolymer (FKM-40) as the core while polyacrylates as the shell in this latex, leading two immiscible components mixable under micro-mol. scale. To det. the chem. structure, in particular the miscibility between the core and the shell in this hybrid, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), attenuated total reflection Fourier transform IR (ATR-FTIR) spectroscopy, and FTIR imaging have been performed. All expts. indicate that FKM-40 mixed well with polyacrylates, particularly FTIR image demonstrated unambiguously that FKM-40 dispersed, under micro-mol. scale, in continuous polyacrylates at a concn. of 20%. Further morphol. (X-ray diffraction) investigations suggest that the hybrid latex had a less cryst. domain for samples with a lower concn. of FKM-40. Interestingly, we found that the water contact angle and the water absorption of the core-shell hybrid can be readily adjustable by varying the proportion of each species during copolymn. Finally it is worth mentioning that the core-shell methodol. as demonstrated herein is superior to phys. blending with regard to its capability of achieving copolymer system under micro-mol. miscibility.

Polysulfone materials having the biphenyl mesogenic group were also studied.  The polymers gave steep isotherms with high collapse pressure, indicating good packing of the monolayers, and could be deposited to form thick LB multilayers.  X-ray diffraction showed that an ordered multilayer was formed, and the effects of chem. compn. on the structure of the LB films were elucidated.  The dominant factor in monolayer structure is the nature of the polymer backbone rather than that of the liq. crystal side chains.

    An azobenzene based perfluorocyclobutane (PFCB) aryl ether polymer, poly[4-(phenylazo)triphenylamine-1,2-hexafluorocyclobutyl ether], was synthesized by Pd catalyzed amination and the 2π + 2π cyclodimerization of 4-[(trifluorovinyl)oxy]bromobenzene. The polymer was designed and synthesized to incorporate azo chromophores into the structure to effect photoinduced dynamic response of PFCB. The polymer exhibited Tg of about 122° and max. absorption of the azo chromophores at 407 nm. A thin film was prepd. through spin coating and a fast increase of diffraction efficiency was achieved by irradn. with an interference beam. The efficient formation of holog. surface relief gratings was verified from AFM images, which show regularly defined and aligned grating structures.

    	Novel cross-linkable, highly fluorinated poly(arylene ether ketones/sulfones) have been prepd. by copolycondensation reactions of perfluorinated arom. ketone/sulfone with 4,4'-(hexafluoroisopropylidene)diphenol and a tetrafluorostyrol-contg. bisphenol (i.e., 1,1-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)ethyl-1-Ph 2,3,5,6-tetrafluorostyrol ether).  The reactions were conducted at low temp. in the presence of calcium hydride and cesium fluoride.  The resulting polymers have no.-av. mol. wts. in the range of 25,000-36,000, excellent solubilities in common org. solvents, high glass transition temps. (Tg) in the region of 150-185°, and good thermal stabilities (Td up to 480°).  Tough, flexible, and transparent thin films of these polymers can be readily prepd. by both soln. casting and spin-coating.  By adjusting the feed ratio of monomers, the refractive index and crosslinking d. of the polymers can be readily controlled.  Crosslinking of these polymers has been demonstrated by both thermal heating and UV irradn.  The cross-linked polymer thin films exhibit low optical loss (∼0.5 dB/cm) and low birefringence (∼2 × 10-3) at 1550 nm, demonstrating that they are promising candidates for optical waveguide materials.

    This work refers to the synthesis of a new double hydrophilic thermo-responsive polymer using fatty acid macroperoxide initiator, N-iso-Pr acryl amide (NIPAM) and polyethylene glycol with two primary amine ends (PEGNH2). For this purpose, oleic acid was spread out onto a petri dish and exposed to air oxygen at room temp. for 2 mo. The obtained fatty acid macro-peroxide initiator was used in the free radical polymn. of NIPAM in the presence of PEGNH2. Poly oleic acid-g-PNIPAM-g-PEG graft copolymers were successfully obtained. Lower crit. soln. temp. (LCST) of the graft copolymer was detd. by using UV-Vis spectrometry with a sensible heating unit. Morphol. of the fractured surface of the double hydrophilic polymers was visualized by using SEM micrographs. Graft copolymers with LCST close to body temp. were obtained by changing PEG inclusion. Structural characterization, thermal anal. and size exclusion chromatog. measurements of the obtained products were done.

Soybean polyols and hybrid PU-urea materials were characterized by various techniques such as 1H and 29Si NMR, Fourier transform IR spectroscopy (FTIR), gel-permeation chromatog. (GPC), gel content, SEM(SEM), wide-angle X-ray diffraction (WAXD), synchrotron small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS), contact angle, and glow-discharge optical emission spectroscopy. Furthermore, the physicomech. properties of the materials were characterized and their corrosion resistance was detd. The produced ecofriendly materials exhibited a dependency of the hybrid network on the degree of gel content. The phase morphol. developed during the polymn. reaction influences the size of hard domains and their organization. This study provides a direct relation between the corrosion resistance and material hydrophobicity and the nature of the heterogeneity of the phase morphol. formed during one-step polymn. procedure.

    Silylation of non-terminal double bonds of unsatd. fatty acids with reactive organosilicons was successfully accomplished using the 'Ene' reaction route. The 'Ene' reaction, which is a subset of the famous Diels Alder reaction, enables grafting of vinyl silanes onto unsatd. org. mols. irresp. of the position of the double bond. This procedure was used to graft vinyltrialkoxysilanes onto unsatd. fatty acids of various triglyceride oils. Me oleate and Me stearate were used as model compds. to investigate this reaction. 1H NMR and TGA were used to characterize the structure of the silylation products and to det. the extent of grafting as a function of reaction conditions. It was found that this grafting reaction follows a second order kinetics. Under extreme conditions a silyl-ester redistribution reaction can also occur where an alkoxy group attached to the silicon atom is exchanged with an alkoxy group of the org. ester. Grafting vinyltrimethoxysilane onto natural oils such as soybean, canola and Abyssinian oils leads to a convenient one-component, moisture activated cure system of these natural oils.

    The use of natural additives, with low toxicity and good compatibility, for PVC is becoming increasingly attractive. In this study, soybean oil additives were prepd. by air oxidn. reactions and blending with PVC. The oxidn. reaction produced a significant increase in the no. of hydroxyl groups in soybean oil; however, this kind of reaction results in the formation of a heterogeneous structure due to free radical reactions in the medium. The oxidized soybean oil improved the compatibility with PVC due to an increase in the no. of polar groups, such as hydroxyls, and thus a redn. in the amt. of atactic polymer was obsd. Furthermore, an increase in the mol. wt. of the oxidized oil, as well as large amts. of polar groups contributes to reducing the migration of oil in the PVC. Regarding the crystallinity of PVC, the use of pure and oxidized soybean oil causes small changes in the cryst. phase of the polymer. Two case studies are presented, which demonstrate the potential for enhanced performance properties obtained by using soybean oil. In the first, 10 phr of paraffinic processing oil in EPDM formulations is replaced with soybean oil, epoxidized soybean oil and soy polyol of varying hydroxyl functionality. In the second case study, 10 phr of the naphthenic processing oil in SBR/BR compds. is replaced with soybean oil, epoxidized soybean oil, and soy polyol. Films had ambient modulus values between 0.12 and 1.6 GPa, with glass transition temps. ranging from 32 to 72 °C and calcd. crosslink densities of 1020-57,700 mol m-3. Film stiffness, Tg and crosslink d. increase with greater tannin linoeate/acetate content due mainly to this tannin component providing rigidity through polyphenolic arom. rings and unsatd. chains as crosslinking sites.

    In many items of high voltage plant, a mineral or synthetic oil is used in conjunction with paper as the dielec. medium. However, increasing awareness of the environmental impact of human activity and increasing disposal costs have encouraged researchers to direct their attention to renewable and biodegradable alternatives. Originally used in capacitors, vegetable oils are now finding widespread use in some transformer installations, particularly in the United States. Therefore, it seems prudent to begin systematic investigations of the aging behavior of a no. of vegetable based oils and assess their potential for application in high voltage systems. A total of five food grade vegetable oils, an oil specifically formulated for high voltage applications (Envirotemp FR3) and dodecylbenzene (DDB) were aged at various temps. in air. Their aging behavior was assessed by ultra-violet/visible, IR and dielec. spectroscopies supplemented with measurements of viscosity. It was found that olive oil offered excellent resistance to aging (comparable to Envirotemp oil), rapeseed oil offered intermediate properties whereas corn and sunflower oil oxidized appreciably after aging. Despite being more prone to oxidn., all the vegetable oils offered dielec. properties which were better than dodecylbenzene and similar to mineral oil.

    • Not done the reason given for the deletion (WP:CSD#G11 and WP:CSD#G5) is not one that is supposed to be handled through this process.     First, who exactly is this "we" you refer to?
    Fair warning was given to the creator of the article at User talk:Baleepgain, as is customary when nominating an article for speedy deletion.
    No company has "every right" to have an article on Wikipedia. Just the opposite. Companies that attempt to use Wikipedia for publicity purposes have zero right to have an article here.
    The article was deleted, multiple times, in accordance with WP:G11 (unambiguous promotion). Wikipedia is not a promotion or publicity medium. Attempts to use Wikipedia in that manner will lead to article create protection (which has happened), blocking user accounts, and blacklisting the company's domain name so that it can never be used on Wikipedia.
    I suggest you start over from scratch at Draft:Unocoin and submit the article for review via Wikipedia:Articles for creation.      Not done. Almost every sentence in that article included instances of unsubstantiated puffery. It was definitely not written in a neutral manner as required by WP:NPOV. Furthermore, your use of "we" and "our website" indicates that you have an association with this company, in which case you shouldn't be creating articles in main space directly (see WP:COI). Instead, you should use your sandbox or draft space (such as Draft:Claremont Rug Company) and submit it for review via Wikipedia:Articles for creation (AFC). AFC is really the only realistic venue for an editor with a conflict of interest to create an article here. Because there is no benefit to the Wikipedia project in restoring a promotional article, it will not be restored and should be rewritten from scratch.
