Hello! I am a student at Rice University studying viola performance at the Shepherd School of Music and political science. I am particularly interested in contributing to Wikipedia in the fields of social justice and mental health. Outside of my studies, I am an avid hiker and I enjoy writing, reading, and binge-watching Parks and Recreation.

Mental Health in South Korea

I am interested in researching mental health in South Korea because of several South Korean friends who have shared their experiences of mental health stigma and services in Korea. The parent article I would be working off of is titled “Suicide in South Korea” and is currently rated start-class. There is a section within this article titled “mental illness” that briefly discusses the role of mental illness stigma in causing suicide, but it is extremely limited and only draws from one source. I would turn this section into its own article, as I think that suicide should actually fall under mental health, as opposed to the other way around.
