Leek or negi?

I put a citation needed marker on the claim about leek production because it smells like an error in translation rather than a fact. It's totally possible that they're the biggest producer of leeks, but due to the common confusion between the leek and the Welsh onion, I'm forced to suspect ignorance of the difference. 220.239.175.110 (talk) 00:29, 12 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah there seems to be a common misconception that negi are leeks, and I'm sure this is in reference to fukaya-negi. Would be nice if there were some decent references... --Zilog Jones (talk) 00:10, 6 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
