Gerrity's Supermarkets is a chain of grocery stores in Pennsylvania, United States.[1]

History

The company was founded in 1895.[1] It has nine locations.[1] It is a family company owned and operated by the Fasula family.[1] The CEO is Joyce Fasula.[1] The company began remodeling its stores and expanding services offered in 2006.[1] The new stores that now include pharmacy and florist will be finished by 2013.[1][needs update] In 2012 during the pink slime controversy the company stated that it never knowingly sold pink slime but that it had amended its policy to demand its vendors certify their meat as pink slime free going forward.[2]
