--- HateCore historically refers to hardcore bands in the NYC scene later in the 80s, who wanted to point out that their sound was different from the original hardcore bands a few years earlier. Early 90s HateCore was adapted by HCbands with a more metal-sound. They are completely unrelated to the very few RAC bands these days that 'stole' or 'adapted' the terminology.
