UiPath is a global software company that develops a platform for Robotic Process Automation (RPA).[1]The company was acknowledged as a leader by Forrester Research in the inaugural Forrester Wave for RPA. [2]

History

The company was founded in 2005 and is headquartered in New York City, NY. Originally an outsourcing company, the company saw an opportunity for RPA in 2012 and started developing an industry-standard platform for training and orchestrating software robots. The company was renamed UiPath in 2015. [3]On April 27, 2017, UiPath announced that it raised $30 million in a Series A round of funding led by Accel, with participation from existing investors including Earlybird Venture Capital, Credo Ventures and Seedcamp.[4]
