Party colour

VivaSlava, can you elaborate on where you got #1F75FE for the party colour from? There's no UCP branding out yet, so we have nothing to draw on, and it's not included in Template:Canadian party colour.

Don't get me wrong, it seems like a good choice (distinct enough from PC and CPC blues) but I'm wondering if we should hold off until we have something more formal. Madg2011 (talk) 03:53, 24 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I went through the shades of blue looking for a colour in between the dark blue of the PCs in Alberta, and the light blue of the PCs in other Canadian provinces that was also not the same as Conservative party of Canada or the old Conservative party of Alberta. This seemed appropriate, obviously doesn't have to be permanent. In the little branding I've seen, the Unite Alberta campaign (which was endorsed by both PC and Wildrose top brass) used a shade of blue similar to that of the flag of Alberta. I asked for #1F75FE to be used in the Canadian Party Colour template until we have an official colour — I think it makes sense to use a placeholder. Jarphi (talk) 16:01, 30 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The UnitedConservitive.ca new website refers to the party as:

So... watch for something official? Legacypac (talk) 19:02, 4 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Political position

As the majority of seats were held by the Wildrose, before the merger, should the political position of the United Conservative Party be displayed as Right Wing or Centre-Right to Right Wing?

I would wait until after the policy convention to review this, but I don't see much evidence so far the party can be characterized as "centre-right". Jarphi (talk) 15:12, 6 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
