Deepak Singh is a leader of the Indian National Congress party in Uttar Pradesh, India. On 10 June 2016, he was elected to the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council.[1]
Deepak Singh (born 26 September 1975) is a leader of the Indian National Congress (INC) party from the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. While Singh has been elected as head of block development committee twice in the past, He was elected to Block Pramukh from Shahgarh Block, Amethi, Uttar Pradesh in 1995-2005. He and his family have long been associated with Congress Party.
In 2014, just before Lok Sabha election, Deepak Singh was appointed as chairman of the Union Railway Ministry’s Passengers Service Commission with minister of state status but he resigned from the post soon after formation of the NDA government at the Centre protesting against hike in rail fare.
Early life and Career
Deepak Singh was born on 26 September 1975 in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh. He was Complete his 10th or Matric from Shri Nishad Raj Inter College Kitiyawan Shahgarh Amethi and also Hindi Sahitya Sammelan, from Allahabad in 2004. Aside from his involvement in Politics, he has listed his professions as being an agriculturalist and a social worker in Amethi District.
Political Career
Deepak Singh is Leader in Uttar Pradesh Indian National Congress. He is also young face of Congress in Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee.
- In the year 1995 to 2005,first Elected as a Block Pramukh of Shahgarh Block of Amethi District,Uttar Padesh.
- In 2002 he became State President of Block Pramukh Sangh.
- In 2014 he was elected to the Chairman, Passenger Service Committee Ministry of Railways Government of India.
- In 2016 He was elected to the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council. [2][3][4]
