Queen Bee Entertainment or International Rock Star (IRS) , is a record label owned by American rapper and songwriter Lil' Kim. aimed at releasing LP's and mixtapes of the label's roster. The label has a distribution partnership with Brookland Entertainment and Universal Music Group.
History
In 1999, Lil' Kim started her own label, after previously being contracted to Big Beat/Undeas. She got help from "Puffy" with starting Queen Bee, and took Junior MAFIA with her. In December 1999, Lil' Kim then signed to Atlantic, which agreed to also provide distribution for the artists on her label. After being released from prison in 2006, in December 2007, Kim had teamed with Lance Rivera along with Queen Latifah's Flavor Unit which would be managing her career and be stake holders at the label. Thanks to Un, Kim was released out of her contact with Atlantic. In 2011, Lil Kim and the label have signed a new distribution deal with Republic Records.
