Balsareny is a municipality in the comarca of Bages in the province of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain.
2017 attack
The small village received national attention in the context of the Spanish constitutional crisis when a block of flats where some Far-right militants known for its apology of francoism and violent participation in demonstrations[3] had a spanish flag alleged/~�ly burnt causing minor damage and one case of minor intoxication due to smoke, not denounced to the police. The action was widely condemned by opposition parties in Catalonia.[4]
