Tori Franklin (born October 7, 1992) is an American triple jumper.[2] Tori Franklin competed in the women's triple jump at the 2017 World Championships in Athletics, jumping a personal best 14.03 m (46 ft 14 in) in the preliminary round to rank #13 as the best non-qualifying athlete.[3]

Tori Franklin delivered another terrific performance on Saturday evening at the 2014 North America Central American and Caribbean Under-23 Championships in Kamloops, British Columbia. Franklin competed for the United States in the triple jump and posted a mark of 13.42 meters to finish first overall in the event.[5]

Michigan State University

Tori Franklin broke the Michigan State University Spartans school record in the triple jump for the first time 13.39 m (43 ft 11 in) en route to a first-place finish at the University of Notre Dame Meyo Invitational to earn February 2014 Big Ten Conference athlete of the week for Women's Indoor Track and Field.[13] [14] [15] [16]

Tori Franklin set Michigan State University Spartans school records in the triple jump 13.56 m (44 ft 6 in) indoor and 13.41 m (44 ft 0 in) outdoor.[17]

Prep

As a senior in 2011, Tori anchored a 4x400 meters at Illinois High School Association AAA state track and field final to a silver medal.[18] As a Junior in 2010, Tori took gold as IHSA AAA state champion in triple jump with a Downers Grove South High School record in 40 feet 0.5 inches (12.205 m) and anchored a 4x400 meters at Illinois High School Association AAA state track and field final to a bronze medal.[19] As a Sophomore in 2009, Tori took silver as IHSA AAA state champion in triple jump in 38 feet 6.5 inches (11.748 m).[20]
