Scilla Siberica is a small plant that is native to Siberia. It is a spring ephemeral. It spends the winter as a small bulb, perhaps as big as the end of your pinky finger. It puts up short, somewhat grassy foliage very early in the spring, produces one or more tiny blue flowers, goes to seed, and dissapears by summer. It can be planted into a lawn, and if it naturalizes, it can give you a very pretty early springs display. It can tolerate light foot traffic while dormant. It transplants easily.
