Malaysia Airlines Cargo is the cargo division of Malaysia Airlines, the flag carrier of Malaysia. It is commonly known as MASkargo and wears these titles on its aircraft instead of "Malaysia" as on the passenger fleet. It operates from Kuala Lumpur and Penang to cities around East Asia, Middle East, Europe and North America. . It operates a fleet of Boeing 747-200F freighters leased from Air Atlanta Icelandic. MASkargo recently received its first Boeing 747-400F to boost cargo capacity on its routes.

History

MasKargo was established in 1972 to handle the delivery of cargo around the world via Malaysia Airlines' global network of routes. Back then,MasKargo had handled 30,000 tones of cargo. With the sophisticted Advance Cargo Center, MasKargo is abled to handle up to million tones of cargos.

i-Port

Being an international airline,continues improvements are needed.Therefore, Malaysia Airlines Kargo has become the first cargo airliner to embark on a ambitious project called i-Port with a concept of "an airport within a seaport".With the strategic location of Kuala Lumpur within the main route of Asia and its competitive cost, MASkargo jointly with Port Klang would be able to promote Port Klang /KLIA as the load-centre for sea and air traffic for the region. This project has expanded rapidly from one seaport to four seaport partnerships including Northport, Westport,Port of Tanjung Pelepas and Kuatan Port

Destinations

MASkargo currently provides freighter services from Kuala Lumpur to Penang, Hong Kong, Osaka, Shanghai, Tokyo, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Dubai, Bangkok, Melbourne, Sydney, Manchester and Basel using two owned and six leased Boeing 747-200SF freighter aircraft. It also offers belly space capacity to over 100 destinations across six continents.
