[2] [3] Spiral grew into a "floating imprint" used by autonomous women's groups across New Zealand to publish books by New Zealand women, including Kerri Hulme's Booker Prize-winning novel The Bone People (1984), and The House of the Talking Cat by J C Sturm (Jacquie Baxter, 1983). [3]
