Manish Om Singhania is a Director, Writer and a well known Producer in film industry based in the city of Mumbai. He is a Visionary and an Entrepreneur, he also runs his own Infrastructure Business and is the Chairperson of the "Brahmand Group".

Early life

He was Born in the small town of Tinsukia, in Assam, to an upper-middle-class business family. He has lived away from home since the tender age of 11 at a boarding school in Bangalore - Bishop Cotton Boys' School, and then graduated from Symbiosis College of Arts & Commerce in Pune in the Year 2000.

Manish attempted to be part of NSD and FTII but in vain. He was selected at the St.Xavier’s Institute of Mass Communication but at the interview level, he was denied a seat on the basis of his Surname. This is an interesting anecdote in his life, that drove him to work harder and achieve many successes in Media.

He was inclined towards storytelling since his school days and always dreamt of being a Film-Maker. Contrary to many, Him being part of the film industry wasn't an accident but a desire that began when he was merely 8 years old.

Career

Early career

He initially enrolled with leading Film-maker Ashutosh Gowariker on his film Swades as an apprentice in the Direction team, but due to an unforeseen change in the shooting dates by almost 8 months, he had to move on to the next available opportunity, which he found in and with Ms. Aruna Irani and Late Mr. Ashok Gaikwad on their Star Plus show Des Mein Nikla Hoga Chand. They went on to become his mentors and his inspiration. He joined them as an apprentice in the Summer of 2003 and soon he was assigned as the 2nd Unit Director on the show. His rise from an apprentice to Director took only 6 months as everyone on set noticed his unrelenting desire and zeal.

Though he always had a flair for writing scripts, lyrics and composing music - he wasn’t equipped with the technical and theoretical know-how on any of the above. However, that didn't deter him from doing the things that he believed he was good at, and he educated himself on learning the Art of Script-Writing for over 7 years before he wrote his full-length Feature. Furthermore, he found opportunities as a writer in Episodic TV shows which helped him polish the Art of Writing and Storytelling.

He has also written the Biography of a well-known Business tycoon - the book is yet to be released.

He has currently teamed up with various musicians to create Music that puts forth his thoughts, beliefs, and vision in song form which will be available on various public platforms soon.

Very recently his Media brainchild, Brahmand Pictures, has completed her first project, 10 Animation Short Films, of 6-minute length each, for a leading Corporate House.

About Trivikram's work on Nuvvu Naaku Nachav, Fullhyd.com wrote "The highlights of the film are all the original humour and the subtlety in approach so alien to Tollywood. The dialogue writer, Trivikram Srinivas, is perhaps the real hero in this one."[1] He is popularly known among Telugu audience as "Maatala Maantrikudu" meaning "Wizard of words".He is known for his crisp dialogue writing and intelligent direction. The Hindu compared Trivikram favourably with Shankar, noting that while Trivikram "started his career as a filmmaker with a light-hearted film Nuvve Nuvve", and has been known for "his light-hearted scripts and dialogues, his work on the action film Athadu is "said to be on par with Hollywood flicks."[2]

Srinivas Kanchibotla of Idlebrain.com commented on his directorial debut Nuvve Nuvve as follows:"If what Trivikram has showed us in Swayamvaram, Nuvve Kaavali, Chirunavvuto and Nuvvu Naaku Nachav, were to be considered as just a tip of the proverbial iceberg of his insightful and observant nature of the characters, if what Trivikram made us feel, delving into the depths of the characters in Nuvve Nuvve, if what Trivikram has demonstrated in his dramatic prowess and comedic timing in all the aforementioned movies, were just initial forays decimating the dullness and the dreariness that is plaguing the current Telugu film character, assuring us that his best is yet to come, then we are in for some great treat for times to come."[3]
