2K Play is an American video game publisher and a division of 2K Games. The company was established on September 10, 2007, for a partnership with Nickelodeon, which would make 2K Play able to publish games based on the Dora the Explorer and Go, Diego, Go! licenses.[1] 2K Play consumed all assets of Take-Two Interactive's former budget range label, Global Star Software, the Cat Daddy Games game development studio, and the intellectual property of the Carnival Games and Deal or No Deal games.[2] The company would furthermore publish other family-frendly titles going forward.[3]
