Fear of speed or acceleration

Citation needed. I believe that the fear of flying may be created (in persons who was ever been on plane(s)) by
a) Fear of takeoff speed/acceleration
b) Fear of flying speed
c) Fear of landing deceleration
d) Fear of turbulence or (aircraft) vibration

Note

I worked this over tonight. There was a lot of unsourced psychobabble and this was not organized per WP:MEDMOS. I organized it per MEDMOS and added content from the most recent reviews I could find.

With regard to listing famous people who have fear of flying, per WP:MEDMOS we generally avoid those as they just become listcruft. Better handled through a category (when it is supported by a reliable source in the subject's article). It is OK to list "famous cases" if they have had some effect, as demonstrated in reliable source, on the history of the condition. but not just because they have it.
