A pin is a device used for fastening objects or material together.

Awards, brooches, or fasteners

  • Award pin, a symbol of achievement or recognition
  • Bobby pin or kirby grip or hair grip, a hairpin
  • Clevis pin, a three-piece fastener system consisting of a clevis, clevis pin, and tang
  • Collar pin, a piece of men's jewelry, which holds the two ends of a dress shirt collar together
  • Drawing pin or thumbtack, a short nail or pin used to fasten items to a wall or board for display
  • Hairpin cotter, also known as an R-clip, R-pin, R-key, bridge pin, hitch pin or spring cotter pin; a fastener resembling the shape of the letter "R"
