Mr. Mackey tells Eric not to abuse his power of being the Hall monitor

Cartman gets a job as the school hall monitor, and quickly becomes mad with power; among other things he finds a piece of litter in the hall---a picture Ike made of his teacher, Ms. Stevenson, whom he apparently has a crush on. However, in a rather shocking twist, she likes him too---and after school "private tutoring" quickly grows into an actual relationship, even sexually. One day, when Kyle goes to pick Ike up from the teacher's house, he discovers the two together in the bath, Ike popping out of the bubbles with a snorkel mask. Attempts of hinting this to his parents don't work, and when Kyle tries to report the crime anonymously to the police, he discovers that they find the idea of a boy sleeping with a female teacher "...Nice". Even Kyle's friends don't mind the transgression---until Cartman finds out they're making out in the halls, which, of course, is against school regulations.

When Cartman brings the two into Principal Victoria's office, the police are informed, and the police (reluctantly) bring her in. The townspeople honestly don't mind---Ms. Stevenson is hot, after all---and as far as Ike is concerned, Kyle is "dead to" him. Stevenson, however, uses what Cartman calls "the Mel Gibson defense"---she claims to be an alcoholic, and everyone decides she's actually a (hot) victim, and thus free from any blame. She quickly enters rehab. Once out, she immediately runs off with Ike to Milan.

The Broflovskis quickly find out what has happened, and the police agree to "make a report" (they don't care). Cartman---furious that his catches would get away---assembles a team to help him and Kyle stop them. Cartman's team consist of Leeroy (Dawg's Assistant), Earl, (Dawg's Driver), Beth (Dawg's Bitch) and Kyle (Jew). They discover that the two won't leave until the next day. The team quickly enters the hotel, and after Cartman uses bear mace on several people, the police arrive too. Ike and Stevenson try to flee; Cartman chases while having random people maced; and all parties wind up on the roof. Cornered, Stevenson threatened to jump; Kyle winds up telling Ike that he has to live a life and have fun, before ruining it with a relationship. Stevenson jumps to her death, but Ike stops himself at the last moment and runs to hug Kyle. Then Cartman and his crew are told to get off the roof by the police and Cartman responds "Fine, were done filming any way." He then reveals this whole climax was filmed by him.

Trivia

  • The previous title of the episode was “Nice”.[1]
  • This is a parody of the many teacher/student sex cases in the United States, including those of Mark Foley,Debra Lafave, Mary Kay LeTourneau & Pamela Rogers Turner. Ms. Stevenson bears an uncanny resemblance to Debra Lafave in the cartoon portrait of her and Ike. Of note are the exaggerated teeth.
  • Cartman's handling of his hall monitoring duties is a parody of the television show "Dog the Bounty Hunter". Trey Parker has said that Dog the Bounty Hunter is one of his favorite shows.[2]
  • Ms. Stevenson's proclamation that she has a problem due to alcoholism is a reference to Congressman Mark Foley and Mel Gibson. One of the cops, named Foley, is a possible allusion to Mark Foley. The cop insist he "shot two boys", which could be a double entendre.
  • The rehab where Stevenson goes is shown to have a literal revolving door with many people entering and leaving, an apparent pun on how quickly people (including celebrities) enter and leave rehab.
  • The song that plays during the montage of Ike and Ms. Stevenson at the beginning is "Can't Fight This Feeling" by REO Speedwagon.
  • At the very end of the episode, it appears as though Cartman has broken the fourth wall, by talking directly to the audience about the "moral" to the episode, but it is shown that Cartman was just filming the rest of his "Dog"-style show.
  • This is the second time we see Butters pee with his pants down, and lifting his shirt up. The first time we saw him do this was in Erection Day.
  • In the scene where Kyle enters Stevensons house to get Ike, you can hear the song Afternoon Delight by the Starland Vocal Band coming from a stereo on the bathroom toilet.
