Notable Dates

On October 6th, 2005, Franklin High School recieved an anonymous bomb threat. At approximately 9:45 AM, the fire alarm sounded, and the school was evacuated. Unaware of what was going on, everyone was escorted onto the front lawns. At aproximately 10:45 AM, Principal Michael Cady made an announcement and dismissed everyone home. Busses were provided for transportation, but many upperclassmen had left their car keys inside the building. No one was allowed inside of the building again until 3:00 PM that same afternoon. All afterschool activities continued, and school was in the very next day. The culprit's name was never released to the public.

On Friday, October 20th, 2006, a community member notified the Franklin Police Department of a suspicious person outside of Franklin High School, prompting all 8th hour classes into lockdown procedures at about 1:50 PM. Twenty minutes later, classes resumed to normal activity when the high school administration and the Franklin Police Department deemed the area safe. When classes ended ten minutes later, at 2:20 PM, students took their regularly scheduled busses home.
