Country singer-songwriters

A person who sings songs they wrote themselves is a singer-songwriter. The only valid reason to replace Category:Canadian country singer-songwriters with Category:Canadian country singers is if the article contains no sourced indication that they wrote songs at all. Please stop it. Bearcat (talk) 17:09, 23 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

People are not double-filed in both a "country singers" category and a "country singer-songwriters" category at the same time. If they sang and wrote songs, then they go only in singer-songwriters, and if they just sang songs written by other people without writing any themselves, then they go only in singers. Nobody gets duplicate filed in both categories at the same time for any reason. Bearcat (talk) 18:53, 27 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
