J-Hope
Jung Ho-seok (Hangul: 제이홉; born February 18, 1994), better known by his stage name J-Hope is a South Korean rapper, songwriter, and record producer. Managed under Big Hit Entertainment, he debuted as a member of the South Korean pop idol group BTS in 2013. In 2018, he released his first solo mixtape Hope World. [1]

Biography
J-Hope was born on February 18, 1994 in Gwangju, South Korea. [2] Prior to his debut with BTS, he was an underground street dancer. [3]
Career
BTS
On June 13, 2013, J-Hope made his debut as a member of BTS on Mnet's M! Countdown with the track "No More Dream" from their debut single album 2 Cool 4 Skool. He has produced and written lyrics tracks on BTS' albums and is credited with lyrics on Korea Music Copyright Association.[4]
J-Hope selected his stage name to be a reminder of a "hopeful existence" and added the J from his last name Jung.
Solo work
J-Hope released his first solo mixtape, Hope World on March 2, 2018.
