Cypress High School
Appearance
Cypress High School is a 9th–12th grade public high school in Cypress, California, and is one of eight high schools in the Anaheim Union High School District. It is located in north Orange County, and primarily serves middle income students. It was established in 1973.
Faculty
- The current principal of CHS is Dr. Ben Carpenter, who replaced Norm Fried in 2004.
- Dr. Ben Carpenter is the current principal of Cypress High School. He began this position July 2004 when Norm Fried retired.
- Current assistant prinicpals are: Joe Saldana and Judi Dursi

Students
- Seniors have a special celebration at the last week of their final school year, Senior Grad Nite. A party that lasts from 10:00pm - 5:00am. Once a student enters they cannot leave until it ends.
- The Physics department has an annual boat race in which students (enrolled in physics) race other classes in the same subject with personally made boats. The teams are made up of 1 to 8 passengers. Last years winnners for the singles boat race was Juniors Ryan Bertich and Jake Cha.
Retirements
- In the academic year of 2004-2005, Physical Education Coach Don Rayl retired.
- The following year, 2005-2006, Weights Coach Rob Walker retired after teaching for nearly 35 years. He is currently succeeded by Ray Fenton.
Movie history
- Parts of the film Better Luck Tomorrow were filmed at the high school by one of its graduates, director Justin Lin.
