Melissa Wiley is the pen name of Melissa Anne Peterson (born December 17, 1968). She is noted as an author of books for children, especially two book series about Laura Ingalls Wilder's ancestors: The Martha Years; and The Charlotte Years.[1] She is a contributing writer at Wired.com's GeekMom blog and cowrites a webcomic with her husband, Scott Peterson, and illustrator Chris Gugliotti.[2]
Personal life
Wiley resides in San Diego, California with her husband, the comic book editor and author Scott Peterson (born December 9, 1968 ), and six children. One of her sons (born December 9, 2003 ) has hearing loss. Her oldest daughter (born June 7, 1995 ) had leukemia, but recovered. She is a stay-at-home mom and homeschools her children.[3]
