this article is POV and obviously written by a drooling fan.

The article reads like an advert to me, or at least, a bio written by Thirlwell's management or some such. Maybe the text was originally sourced from somewhere else? Whatever, this definitely needs work --mcld (talk) 18:46, 28 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

How is a guy who was born in 1960 and hails from Australia in any way "associated with the No Wave era", which occurred in the 1970's in New York City? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.37.144.130 (talk) 21:26, 7 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well, fucking Lydia Lunch for a few years definitely helps. (Um, with that association, I mean...)
If that's the case, half the Eastern Seaboard contributed to the No Wave movement. But seriously, folks... JG has always gone out of his way to obfuscate his own bio and create a character to live within. I suspect that 1960 may not be a 100% accurate birthdate. He was certainly in NYC at the peak of No Wave and was involved, but how old was he really? 71.206.217.214 (talk) 12:53, 6 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, you're quite wrong about that NYC bit. He was in the UK, (working for Virgin Records) during that period. I'm sure he was certianly up to speed with most of it as it was going on - but he was not there at the time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.138.22.211 (talk) 17:24, 21 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If the birthdate is not accurate, it's one he gives if you ask him.

Bizarre sentence

What on earth does this mean, if anything? Because of his musical diversity he is known for juxtaposing a variety of different styles. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 219.78.86.39 (talk) 10:35, 19 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
