Sun-Maid is a cooperative of raisin growers headquartered in Kingsburg, California. It was founded in 1912 as the California Associated Raisin Company. They adopted the name "Sun-Maid" for their products, and in 1922 changed their name to the Sun-Maid Raisin Growers of California to more closely identify themselves with their successful brand identity.
