Jessewaugh account and listed IPs have aggressively defended the article Jesse Waugh at AfD or Jesse Waugh material on the wiki.
- All listed IPs geolocate to Spain. External search establish a connection between Spain and article subject. Three IPs from Spain might be normal on the Spanish Wikipedia but here it is a large anomoly.
- 81.44.32.50 canvassed about fifteen editors to vote at the AfD, with the phrase "Hi, I’m writing to ask if you might be willing to contribute a vote on the Articles for Deletion page for Jesse Waugh. The vote already took place based on the article’s current sources, but certain people seem to be determined to get it deleted. Thanks either way."
- First Afd (for Jesse R. Waugh) was rife with sockpuppets. 104.163.147.121 (talk) 00:41, 28 March 2018 (UTC)
- the sockpuppets investigated and confirmed in the first AfD came about as a result of the same event: someone nominating the Waugh page for deletion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 104.163.147.121 (talk) 00:50, 28 March 2018 (UTC)
- I've added Cinesis, a an old blocked account that was socking at the first AfD, as its main contrib seems to have been promoting the Jesse Waugh art manifesto "pulchrism" by adding it to the Wiki. There are a half dozen socks attached to that account-- do they come up automatically when the master is searched?104.163.147.121 (talk) 02:16, 28 March 2018 (UTC)
- I've added The Master, as they a) created the current Waugh article from Draft, b) Argued very vociferously at last two AFDs for keep, removed my vote at AfD, and seem to have just inadvertently admitted to COI at least at this AFD. What I think is happening here is a combination of socks and meatpuppets. Jesse Waugh has a nice interview with Thomas Darnell on his site. Both are pages created by The Master, who called Darnell a friend at the above AfD. I know this sounds like kooky conspiracy theories, but it does seem to connect and the Waugh promotionalism has been going on for five years. 104.163.147.121 (talk) 03:02, 28 March 2018 (UTC)

- Comment The IP editor who filed this has deeply personalized the AfD of Jesse Waugh, for some reason. Given my considerable history here and many quality articles on any number of topics and people, I'm not sure whether adding me to a sockpuppet investigation is hilarious, or pathetic, or both. I await the results of Mr. Anon IP editor's witch hunt here with bated breath, fully expecting the apology I'm due when no connection whatsoever is found between myself or any of the listed IP addresses or named accounts. If I'm defending the article at AfD, it's because I largely wrote it. Should I vote to delete my own work? The Master ---)Vote Saxon(--- 03:26, 28 March 2018 (UTC)
- you know, I have not called you any names, I have just asked why you are so deeply connected to these subjects, argue so vociferously for them, create articles for them, launch person attacks on any one who questions them as you are doing here, and come up with excellent sources from friends of friends as you did at the Nitin AfD. It's a reasonable suspicion. You might be a swell person for all I know.104.163.147.121 (talk) 04:09, 28 March 2018 (UTC)
- Comment By the way, this SPI is filed incorrectly. Based on age, the original account is Cinesis. You're welcome. The Master ---)Vote Saxon(--- 03:28, 28 March 2018 (UTC)
- Comment The first two IPs from Spain are pretty clearly the same person and were attempting to vote-stack at the current Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jesse Waugh (2nd nomination). However, I would be astounded to find that The Master is a sock of Jessewaugh or anyone else. He's is an experienced editor whose creations show no obvious signs of paid editing. Yes he's been vociferous in defending Jesse Waugh, but that's normal for someone who has created an article and firmly believes (rightly or wrongly) in the subject's notability. It is possible that Jessewaugh is behind the Spanish IPs, but that's hard to say without a checkuser. Incidentally, there was another single purpose IP 2A00:23C4:2B0C:4700:1934:B5CF:8629:C204 whose sole edit here was to !vote "Keep" in the current discussion with no cogent argument [1]. That IP resolves to the UK. Sock? Meat? Proxy server? Coincidence? Who knows?
- As for the rest, it's a murky history of sock and meat puppeting and paid editing going back to 2012 and accounts and IPs which are all stale. However, I'll give some background. The third IP above from Spain is stale but their sole edit was to restore material about Waugh [2] to Art movement in 2017 which Cinesis had twice attempted to add along with a (then) redlink to Jesse Waugh in April 2012 [3], [4]. Cinesis also created two socks to vote-stack with him at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jesse R. Waugh. See Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Cinesis/Archive. The first attempt to create an article on the subject was circa 24 May 2013 as Jesse Waugh. It was deleted [5] as a creation by a sock of Nickaang who ran a paid editing operation with dozens of socks. See Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Nickaang/Archive. Starting in 2013 and continuing up to 2017 a slew of single purpose throw-away accounts (now stale) created articles on other Wikipedias: Hindi, Japanese, French, German, Russian, Italian, Spanish, Arabic, and Hebrew. This is highly unusual for a subject with very marginal notability even in the English speaking world and strongly suggests that paid editing was involved. The only one of those accounts who edited here was Warrior68 (later blocked as a sock of Nickaang). He created the Hindi article in 2013. He also created Jesse R Waugh here (after the original deletion of Jesse Waugh and Jesse R. Waugh) and a now-deleted version of the article on Simple WP [6]. So there you have it.
