Teppei Koike (小池 徹平, Koike Teppei, born January 5th, 1986 -) is an actor, and singer from Japan. His nicknames are "Teppei-chan", "Teppei-kun," and "Te-chan". He was born in Osakayama, Osaka. Capricorn. Blood type B. Belongs to the production company Burning Productions. Is a member of the singer-songwriter duo WaT.
History

2001
- Attended Osaka Furitsu Nagano High School.
- Was the grand prix winner of the 14th Junon Super Boy Contest.
2002
- Moved to Tokyo in the spring. Changed schools to Horikoshi High (also attended at the same time by NEWS' Yamashita Tomohisa, D-BOYS' Shirota Yuu, and KAT-TUN's Tanaka Koki)
- Met Wentz Eiji while working and formed WaT. Started doing street lives.
- Debuted as an actor in the drama "Tentai Kansoku".
2004
- WaT released debut indies CD "Sotsugyou TIME" in February.
2005
- Acted in the drama "Gokusen 2", which was part of the reason for his increasing popularity.
- WaT signs with Universal Music in August, releases first major single "Boku no Kimochi" in November, ranking 2nd place on the Oricon chart. They are the band with the shortest time gap between debut and appearing on NHK's Kouhaku Uta Gassen.
2006
- Presented with the Newcomer's 43rd Golden Arrow Award (WaT).
- Presented with the 20th Gold Disc Award for "Best New Artist".
- First leading role in the movie "Love★Con" as Ohtani Atsushi.
- Official supporter in 2006's International Volleyball Tournament (WaT).
- Nominated for the Best Supporting Actor in the 49th Drama Academy Award, for his performance in Iryu.
Personal Profile
- His least favourite foods are melon, watermelon, whipped cream, and soft-served ice cream. Usually dislikes white-coloured foods.
- Has poor eyesight at 0.08, so he likes wear contact lenses at work and glasses at home. Started wearing contacts in the second year of middle school. Because his eyes gets dry easily, he always has eyedrops.
- Left-handed. (Originally right-handed, but became left-handed when he started copying his left-handed father) However, he still uses his right hand when playing guitar, bowling, and practicing writing kanji
- He is so-so at dancing and so-so at cooking, but his speciality dish is chicken in creamy sauce.
- He's not afraid of heights (while his partner Wentz Eiji is terrified of heights)
- He is pretty skilled at taking pictures of the moon and the stars using the digital camera.
- Owns about 5 guitars.

- When he turned 20 the first type of alcohol he drank was imo-shouchuu, but his favourite is awamori (It seems to be the influence of the awamori-loving Wentz) But his alcohol tolerance isn't too high, so after he drinks he'll feel sleepy.

Family
- Immediate family consists of Father, Mother, Little brother. He really respects his father.
- The name "Teppei" came from his dad's favourite manga, "Ore wa Teppei"
- His father is bold, while his mom is prone to worrying. Teppei takes more after his mom.
- Because his mom really likes cleaning, she accidentally threw out his favourite dragonball figurine.
Wentz
- He is really good friends with Wentz, they often visit each other's houses, watches movies together and go out to eat together. When they were doing street lives they often borrowed each other's clothes.
- Teppei calls Wentz "Ei-chan".
- They have spend Christmas together ever since they've met each other (The first year, they took purikura in Shinjuku; the second year, they ran the maranthon for their indies debut PV; the third year, they ate at a hamburg shop; the fourth year was a WaT event and love*con photoshoot)
- When Teppei first met Wentz, he was extremely nervous and couldn't say anything, and after a while started using keigo.
- Teppei doesn't like the fact that Wentz likes traveling alone, because he thinks Wentz will neglect him.
- Teppei suscribed to the morning newspaper, because he found the section "Tensei jingo" interesting. However, when he found out Wentz had a serialization in the evening paper as "Wentz Eiji's Lucky Punch", he would go everyday to the combini to buy the evening paper.
- For Wentz's 20th birthday, Teppei bought him a lot of underwear (Wentz has showed up on variety TV wearing just underwear a lot of times)
- On his birthday in 2006, the first "happy birthday!" email he got was from Wentz who was overseas at the time. (Even with the time difference, he got the mail at exactly 12am sharp)
