This is an old revision of this page, as edited by Joshlk (talk | contribs) at 14:11, 24 October 2006 (The BFG (film)). The present address (URL) is a permanent link to this revision, which may differ significantly from the current revision.

The cleanup page is a place where articles with problems (ungrammatical, poorly formatted, not ordered, confusing, etc.) can be listed. Any user can fix or list articles here. After you fix an article listed here, remove the entry from this page.

Feel free to make use of the Wikipedia: Cleanup resources.

Older cleanup: . Pages are archived by month, but are still in need of cleanup (or de-listing if they have already been cleaned up).

Also remember that you can submit an article in need of cleanup to the Cleanup Taskforce (which is always looking for members).

For more detailed information about this page, see Wikipedia: Cleanup process.

Just to let everyone know, as of 08:31, 18 October 2006 (UTC), 18,794 articles were tagged for cleanup, or 1.31% of the English Wikipedia's articles. Most of these articles can be found under Category:Cleanup by month and are not listed below. Anything you can do to help clear the backlog would be greatly appreciated.

  • Celebrity Paranormal Project, this article needs to be edited for basic grammatical errors. As it stands now, it's not very professional.
  • The BFG (film), porly formated article needs editing and maybe rewritng.

  • Globalization appears to have been vandalized or perhaps just carelessly edited. I haven't combed through the entire article, but the section on Anti-Globalization specifically seems to have bits of sentences completely removed and no effort to fix the syntax of the remaining sentences made. Some of the sentences are unreadable and nonsensical. I don't know how to revert pages, or else I might have looked at older versions to see when this happened and recommended a reversion, but as it is now it seriously harms the information in the article.

Couldn't find a version to revert to without losing significant amounts of new content, but cleaned up by hand. Seraphimblade 01:47, 22 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Fabolous is a drivelling fan rant at the moment. Aecis Dancing to electro-pop like a robot from 1984. 10:36, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • The School is a new Norvegian band. They just released their first indie rock album and have been featured in NME. They may become very popular soon, and I was surprised that their was no article about them in Wikipedia. Please review my article, as English is not my primary language. Also someone able to translate Norvegian to English would be of great value as the majority of the sources I found are Norvegian. -Cleaned, translation request still applies, I assume.
  • Futures exchange is extremely confusing; I've taken macroeconomics (and garnered a 4.0, harrumph), always read the newspaper, and was totally confused about this article. It needs a good one-over by an economist.
  • Medical technologist needs to be proof read and NPOV'd. The writing style is very non-encyclopedic. 68.238.2.60 01:57, 18 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Some proof reading/npov work done. Reformatting and further editing still required. Kedlav 08:31, 19 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Firedog was tagged for advert cleanup on October 4th. I've asked for a 3rd party to look it over on the talk page, but nobody has yet. There could be some advert language under the 'services' section, I would appreciate if someone could look it over. Staus 05:44, 15 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
    • I've nominated the article for speedy deletion. The entire article is flooded with adverts and pr talk. I have no problem with an article about this company, but the article as it stands is spam. 10:39, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
  • Military slang needs a thorough overhaul -- it's very long, full of misspellings, the formatting is inconsistent, etc. Woden325 01:06, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • St. Johnsbury Academy Contains personal references to staff and facilities. No or unclear elaboration in certain areas of article.

  • Textual Combat - This article is a mess. It's just a timeline with no sourcing, and little explanation of the subject. The timeline is overkill and confusing. This article probably should be a small description of what the subject is with no timeline at all. Frankly, I wonder if it should be a candidate for deletion. --Lendorien 20:07, 14 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Igarassu has been tagged for cleanup since November 17, 2005. It still needs a lot of work, so I'm bringing it up here, so that someone who knows the city may have a go at cleaning this up. I'm too naive. 19:46, 12 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Harry Baron(60-something Israeli sculptor): wikify; prosify; rescale photos; probable self promotion, so check notability; format reeks of being prepared for another medium, so do further copyvio checks.Jerzyt
  • José Rizal(Phillipine nationalist activist, writer, martyr): de-PoV, esp. de-hagiographify; condense or split; state early and clearly what his notability is, beyond the (non-verified (and AFAI could stand to read, inexplicable) worship of him by Ph. or Malay nationalists.Jerzyt

  • Bank Action Group - currently a quasi-promo article for a small online pressure group, but has some useful information in it on a current controversy. Group probably doesn't in and of itself merit an article, so the article could do with being rebased to the default charges controversy itself. 16:03, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
