The 2018 Chinese Grand Prix (formally known as the Formula 1 2018 Heineken Chinese Grand Prix) is a Formula One motor race taking place between 13 and 15 April 2018 at the Shanghai International Circuit in Shanghai, China. The race is the third round of the 2018 FIA Formula One World Championship,[2] and marks the fifteenth time that the Chinese Grand Prix has been run as a round of the Formula One World Championship.
Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton is the defending race winner.[3] Sebastian Vettel entered the round with a seventeen-point lead over Hamilton in the World Drivers' Championship. His team, Ferrari, lead Mercedes by ten points in the World Constructors' Championship. Vettel is due to start the race in pole position,[4] and in doing so would record Ferrari's first pole position in China in fourteen years.
